Jaqueline Carvalho is pumping iron in her workout gear. In a new social media post the volleyball star flaunts her fit figure in an exercise set during a session with her significant other, Murilo Endres. “In the end he couldn’t take it,” she captioned the clip of their strength training workout, kissing at the end of the session. “Perfect,” commented one of her followers. “Beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Volleyball

Jaqueline, a member of the Brazilian volleyball team that won the Olympics in 2008 and 2012, spends a lot of time playing. According to one study, recreational volleyball played with fewer players on a smaller court can be an effective training modality to stimulate decrease in LDL cholesterol and resting HR.

Running

Jaqueline enjoys running, both outside and at the gym. Here she is running on the treadmill. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

Cycling

She also bikes. In the same video she cycles on a stationary bike. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Dancing

Jacqueline often shares videos of herself dancing. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

Strength Training

Jacqueline spends a lot of time in the gym strengthening her body by weight lifting. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Kerri Walsh is being honored – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the volleyball star shows off her washboard abs in a sports bra. “Excited to announce that I will be honored at the Great Sports Legends Dinner this September! 🎉 It’s a privilege to be recognized alongside so many incredible athletes. Looking forward to an evening of celebration and supporting The Buoniconti Fund’s mission. 🏆 #SportsLegendsDinner #MakingADifference,” she captioned the Instagram post. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Volleyball

Kerri’s main form of fitness is volleyball. She does “three hours of beach volleyball practice a day,” she told Muscle & Fitness. According to one study, recreational volleyball played with fewer players on a smaller court can be an effective training modality to stimulate decrease in LDL cholesterol and resting HR.

2. Cross-Training

“I grew up playing a variety of sports, and I learned so much about my body by doing that. Today, I keep up a well-rounded cross-training system that challenges me from top to bottom. I try to make sure my body never gets comfortable, so it can keep evolving in the way I want it to,” she told Muscle & Fitness.

3. Protein

Spinach,SmoothieShutterstock

Kerri makes sure to eat enough protein. “I want to be the best I can be, and there’s no way I can do that unless I’m fueling my body properly with the right nutrition. I’m a huge advocate of starting the day off right at breakfast. I’m a creature of habit, and as a crazy-busy mom I tend to make a lot of shakes for breakfast that I quickly drink while getting my family ready in the morning. I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk like Almond Breeze, vanilla whey protein, kale or spinach, chia seeds, oats, and honey and blend it up to drink while I’m on the run. Between morning and afternoon workouts I’ll have another shake, or a protein bar, or a turkey sandwich on Paleo bread with mustard and avocado. It’s important to get protein in soon after my workouts. I also drink a lot of water since that helps with recovery, mood, and hunger,” she told Muscle & Fitness.

4. Weightlifting

“I also do fast-twitch workouts twice a week with Olympic lifting and plyometrics. Staying strong and flexible is how I stay healthy. I’m a big fan of weightlifting to make me strong and prevent injury. It’s also great for metabolism, confidence, posture, and bone density,” she told Muscle & Fitness.

5. Pilates

Kerri also does Pilates. “I do Pilates three times a week—on the reformer, the mat, and the beach,” she told Muscle & Fitness. “Pilates has helped me so much in my career as well. I worked hard to get my strength back in my core and strengthen my upper back, especially after breastfeeding.”

Angelica Teixeira is a professional bodybuilder. She recently did an Instagram campaign for TLF Women. Teixeira is seen posing in different workout clothes in a video. They captioned the post, “You asked, we delivered. The viral Tempo Front Clasp Sports Bra is back and upgraded🤩The Tempo Front Clasp 2.0 is here in 5 new colors ways! No more post workout battles with your sports bra, our revolutionary front clasp makes it easier than ever to pop off your top after sweaty workout. Available now on our app and sitewide.”

She Works Her Legs

Teixeira doesn’t skip leg day. She shared some of her favorite exercises in this Instagram video. Teixeira is seen doing things like squats and glute bridges. She captioned it, “Building them glutes 1 day at a time 💪🏼 #gluteworkout Save it and use it for your next Glute workout this way you don’t need to overthinking on what to do when you get to the gym 👊🏼🔥”

She Engages Her Muscles

Teixeira makes sure that her muscles are engaged when she works out. She shared her tips for doing this in lunges in the caption of this Instagram post. “The way you perform your lunges can change the muscles it activates. 🤓When you step forward you will activate more your quadriceps muscles than the glutes. But if you step backwards you will activate more your glutes than your quads. And if you keep your chest up you will feel more in your quads while if you keep your chest forward you will feel more in your glutes. I always perform it stepping backwards and with my chest forward to activate more the glutes than the quads because you know, us Bikini girls are all about the 🍑.”

She Strength Trains

Teixeira is seen pushing a weighted cart in this Instagram video. Strength training exercises like these have a lot of health benefits. ACE Fitness states, “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Works Out With Others

Angelica Teixeira pushes a friend during a workout.

In the previous Instagram video, Teixeira is seen working out with one of her friends. Better Health states that this can have a lot of health benefits. “Exercising with a friend or loved one can make it more fun, and increase your chances of sticking to your exercise plan. Exercising with a friend is a great way to keep you motivated. It’s also a great way to meet new people. It can even save you money.”

She Uses A Waist Trainer

Teixeira revealed in the caption of this Instagram post that she uses a weight trainer to help with her muscles. “Wearing the @slimtum waist trainer original and also the Slimtum Pro has helped me a lot to slim down my waist line comparing to my last prep. 🥳I wear the Original size 4 for upper body workouts and outside the gym I wear size 3 for about 2 more hours a day, I prefer to wear it when I’m standing doing something in the house or walking around running errands like grocery shopping.🛒For my lower body workouts I like to wear the Slimtum Pro size 2. It gives the best protection to my lower back, midsection and keeps my waist small when I’m lifting heavier weights.”

Sarah Pavan is a former beach volleyball player and fitness teacher. She recently announced her retirement from the sport. Pavan thanked her fans for all their supportive messages and announced her career goals in an Instagram post caption. “Thank you to everyone who took time to reach out following my retirement announcement. I am overwhelmed (in the best way, of course) at all of the memories, stories, and words of encouragement and support that were shared. It means so much to me 🥹❤️Many of you were asking, ‘What’s next?’ Volleyball has given me so much and continues to bring joy to my life, so I definitely plan to stay connected to the sport. I will continue to manage my consultancy, Next LVL Consulting, which supports young volleyball athletes looking to play in university. I will also maintain my online channels that I started during the pandemic, as those communities mean so much to me. I am hoping to pursue a career in sports media and broadcasting in order to share my knowledge and insights about the game as a host or analyst. I have taken the first steps in doing that with my new podcast, @volleytalk_podcast so be sure to check it out! You will definitely continue to see me around the volleyball world, just in a different way than we are used to 😊”

1. She Enjoys Working Out

One of Pavan’s fitness secrets? She actually enjoys hitting the gym for a sweat session. She opened up about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Sweat is my medicine, whether my struggle is physical, mental, or emotional. No matter what I’m going through, a good workout is always one of my first steps to move through it and feel more like myself.”

2. She Lifts Weights

Sarah Pavan.2Sarah Pavan/Instagram

In the previous Instagram post, Pavan is seen lifting a barbell. Using weights in exercise has a lot of benefits. ACE Fitness states, “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

3. She Hikes

Pavan enjoys going for hikes to keep herself in shape. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself hiking the Gros Piton Point. Pavan captioned the post, “Gros Piton hike. 2,000 feet of elevation in 2 km 🥵💪🏻If Oprah says something is a must-do, you have to listen! We are so glad we did… it was well worth it!”

4. She Plays Pickleball

Another sport that Pavan enjoys playing is pickleball. She shared this photo of herself on the court on her Instagram. Pavan captioned the post, “A little time off the sand means active recovery, including pickleball and @kttape Recovery+ Recovery Patches! Pickleball makes my soul happy (I love cross-training with different sports) and my recovery patches keep my aches and pains happy! It’s a win-win 😉”

5. She Loves Yoga

Pavan likes to practice yoga to keep herself in shape. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself doing a pose on the beach. Harvard Health states that yoga has a lot of health benefits. “Several small studies have found yoga to have a positive effect on cardiovascular risk factors: it helped lower blood pressure in people who have hypertension. It's likely that the yoga restores ‘baroreceptor sensitivity.’ This helps the body senses imbalances in blood pressure and maintain balance.”

Bianca Bustamante is revving up her engine in 2025 – in her workout gear. In a new social media post, the racecar driver reveals she is taking “the next major step” in her physical journey as a race driver “and I’ve set the target high!” she says in a new Instagram post, filled with video clips of herself lifting heavy weights at the gym. “Never been more motivated in my life, it’s not physically easy for a girl in this sport, but I’m super excited to take on this new challenge and the next big step on my racing journey,” she added. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Lifting Weights

Bianca spends hours at the gym where she focuses on strength training along with endurance, cardio, reaction time, and reflexes. “You know, to be a driver, it’s a complete package. It takes strength. It takes mental fortitude. It takes reflexes, smart thinking, and survival skills,” she told MEGA Active. “Sometimes it's for the body, sometimes it's for the mind. Nothing more peaceful than early sessions,” she captioned an Instagram post of one of her sessions.

Double Down On Training

In her recent post, Bianca reveals that she working extra hard at the gym. “I’ve been working hard over the years to build a solid foundation, but in 2025, I’ll be working with @j_w_90 and I’m doubling down on my training. Increasing to two workouts a day not just on lifts but aerobic endurance, as well as a better focus on nutrition and rest, in order to raise the bar to compete in the higher formulas,” she said.

Fueling Your Body With Protein

Bianca makes sure to eat enough protein in order to build more muscle and stay as lean as possible to meet the weight requirement. “It’s been a really cool journey seeing my body develop and transform into this whole different person I never knew I could become,” she said. In her new post she added that she is meal prepping. “I’m soooo all in that im even learning how to cook & meal prep better than ever before,” she writes.

Taking Cold Plunges

As for recovery, cold plunging is part of Bianca’s training regime. Limited research supports the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increasing focus, improving sleep, and decreasing inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes post-sport recovery.

Working On Self-Esteem

Positive self-talk is also important. “Of course, I put a lot of pressure on myself, but in the end, I always tell myself that as long as I give my best and I learn from it, any mistake I make is valid,” Bianca explained. “I always try to repeat that to myself that I am valid. I’m here for a reason and there’s nothing I would rather do than be here.”

She Supports Animals

Romani has her own charity, Help Miami Cats. She talked about how she started this in the caption of this Instagram post. “❤️ Guys!!!! I have always loved cats and had many growing up. When I moved to Miami Beach I met a great calico named Chacha and learnt that cats were brought to the city by Mayor Lummus … against rodents. Cats rely on volunteers for their food and water and there’s a huge amount of them. There’s a city program to Spay and neuter with the wonderful @sobecats ladies and the feeding is made official by a City Sanctioned badge, yet new cats keep getting dumped daily sadly and there’s a never ending amount of work, emergencies and so on. I was on a feeding rotation but during the pandemic I was left alone caring for so many as people left town or couldn’t afford feeding anymore …I decided to start my own non profit @helpmiamicats . We feed close to 200 and when Batman got paralyzed took him and other special needs cats under my care … @stevensachs69 with the cat room and the amazing people involved devote their lives to these special souls … My life has changed a lot too … way less spare time, way more sweat and tears and lost the person I had by my side who had sadly other priorities … yet gained so much love from these lovely creatures !!! If you can please get involved in any way … follow @helpmiamicats , share, volunteer, adopt … donate … Only together we can make their world a better place !!! And yes … just me feeding the kitties and talking to them … 🤷🏻♀️👀😆❤️🙌”
