Raver is celebrating the release of Taylor's Swift's album 1989 (Taylor's Version) this week. In a recent Instagram post, she photoshopped herself into the album cover. Raver wore a black swimsuit, and captioned the post, "1989 never goes out of style." How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Kim Raver stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

She Focuses On Health

Raver shared some of her diet secrets in an interview with WebMD. She says that eating healthy is important to her, and that is how she approaches food. "I really love the idea of food for health. I don't think in terms of calories. When you're eating well you sleep better and your skin looks better. I know when I sit in the hair-and-makeup chair and I haven't drunk enough water."

She Loves Salads

Raver likes to make salads for dinner. She shared her favorite recipe in her WebMD interview. "My go-to weeknight dinner is grilled chicken breast or salmon with string beans and salad. I might put in quinoa or brown rice depending on how much cardio I've done. If I'm working on set, I might grab [everything] at Whole Foods and put it together myself."

She Still Indulges

Raver makes sure to eat healthy. However, she tells WebMD that she likes to treat herself once in a while. "I think it's important to have indulgences," Raver said. "When I indulge, it's usually a dark chocolate thing. Every once in a while we'll go to the gelato place with my kids and I'll get a dark chocolate gelato on a cone."

She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Raver does a variety of workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared her favorites with WebMD. "Sports is an amazing way to reset the clock and find balance. My three favorite things are [stationary biking], running, and yoga. When I went down to Texas to shoot Revolution, I just packed my running shoes. If I can get them on, I have no excuses."

She Learns From Others

Raver has begun her directing career. She started out with an episode of Grey's Anatomy. Raver talked about what it was like in an interview with Awards Radar. She says that her co-star, Debbie Allen, was a big help for her. "I felt like the stakes were even higher. At first I thought, 'oh, it's great, because everyone will be supportive.' And then I was like, 'oh my god, I really can't fail, because it's my family!' You know what I mean? It's not like some show that's over there and I'll never see anyone ever again. Debbie Allen was just an incredible mentor. I learned so much from her. That was the beginning of it."
