Peyton List is posing on a seaplane – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post the Cobra Kai star flaunts her amazing figure in a bathing suit while vacationing north of the border. "Let's all move to Canada," she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. "This is stunning 😍" commented one of her followers. "This is beautiful," added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Yoga
Peyton is a yogi. Here she is in a yoga pose by the pool, "lil workout with my foster baby maya," she captioned it. Harvard Health explains that there are many benefits to the practice. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."
Martial Arts Workouts
"I need an outlet for my anxiety so I'd just jump into an online workout class and channel all of my stress and go as hard as I possibly can," Peyton told Forbes. One of her go-tos is STRONG Nation, a martial arts-inspired high-intensity, bootcamp-style fitness class that combines body weight exercises with cardio, plyometric training and martial arts that is synced to original music that's reverse-engineered to match every single move. "It really helps keep me motivated and lose count of how many reps I'm doing," she says, adding, "it's flexible so I can take classes from instructors around the globe in any time zone."
Protein-Packed Diet
List fuels her body with a lot of protein and other healthy food. "I'm trying to stay healthy and feel my best, I eat eggs, avocado, and protein for breakfast," she said. Lunch usually consists of a grain bowl with fish and dinner, salmon with Brussels sprouts. "I also love the dark chocolate cherries from Trader Joe's. I usually change up my meals every night and I definitely have a dessert every day," she added. Her cheat meal? Waffles with Nutella. "I'll make them any time of day!"
Hydration
Peyton also understands the importance of hydration. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
Walking
Peyton gets her steps in by walking her dog. "I get up every morning and walk my dog for miles—just to get outside and move," she said, adding that she feels her "happiest" when she's moving and sweating. Why should you walk? One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace
