5 Surprising Ways Sara Croce Stays Strong and Sculpted

Check out how Croce stays in shape with boxing, swimming, horseback riding, and skiing!

5 Surprising Ways Sara Croce Stays Strong and Sculpted
Sara Croce / Instagram

Sara Croce isn’t just about looking fit—she stays active with a mix of dynamic workouts that keep her body strong and her mind sharp. From throwing punches in the boxing ring to gliding down snowy slopes, the Italian model embraces movement in all forms. Whether she’s swimming, horseback riding, or crushing a shoulder workout, she proves that fitness can be both powerful and elegant. If you’re looking for inspiration to switch up your routine, Sara’s approach to staying in shape might be just the motivation you need.

She Boxes

As you can see from her Instagram video, Croce likes to box to keep herself in shape. Harvard Health states that boxing has a lot of health benefits. “There's no proof that fitness boxing is superior to any other types of exercise, but it does have many health benefits. One is strength. ‘You're swinging your arms, moving the muscles of your arms and shoulders, increasing your upper-body strength. And when you're in the boxer crouch with a wide stance, with your knees slightly bent, you're strengthening your core muscles, back, and legs,’ says physical therapist Linda Arslanian, director of rehabilitation services at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's hospital. Stronger muscles make it easier to get up out of a chair or carry a bag of groceries.”

She Does Shoulder Workouts

Croce shared this video on Instagram of herself doing different shoulder exercises with weights. She captioned it, “Today's SHOULDERS circuit 🔥🇺🇸For me, the improvement has been radical since I gave as much importance to training the upper part as to training the lower part💪🏻 Obviously I’m always followed even from afar by a professional #shoulderday 🤍”

She Swims

Croce likes to swim to keep herself in shape. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself in the water. Croce included a photo of herself in an infinity pool in this post. She also shared this photo of herself in a pool in West Hollywood. Croce captioned it, “Gratitude is the best attitude.”

She Rides Horses

Croce likes to go horseback riding to keep herself in shape. She shared a photo of herself on a horse in one of the previous Instagram links. Croce also shared this video of herself going for a ride on the beach. She captioned it, “Flying? There were times I believed I could.”

She Skis

Croce shared this set of photos and a video on Instagram of herself skiing. The Hill News states that skiing has a lot of benefits. “When skiing down the slopes, chemical reactions occur within our bodies to produce positive feelings. Specifically, it lowers levels of stress hormones and releases your body’s natural painkillers. Not only do we soak in vitamin D, but we also produce endorphins and adrenaline. It is simply a liberating experience for your mind but also your body. Skiing is also a great source of exercise and exercise that you can actually enjoy doing. Within just three hours of skiing, your body can burn up to 975 calories. While this is happening, metabolic and cardiorespiratory health also improves.”

1. She Treats Her PCOS

Sara, who suffered from PCOS, found it difficult to lose weight for many years. “It is one of the things that I struggle with to date because the only real cure is a constant, consistent, focused and determined lifestyle change. There is no shortcut to it,” she said in an interview, per Her Zindagi. “For me, the most functional way to deal with PCOS is to eat healthy, sleep in a regimented way- try to regularize your body clock and to get in a certain about of work out every day if you can so that your hormone levels remain stable.” She explained to the Hindustan Times that one day she made a commitment to fitness. “I remember saying ‘you know what I am going to do it’ and I went to the gym and did 3 crunches with a weighted ball in my hand and I couldn’t do more because I was heavy and I was not fit. I left the gym and came home and said that ‘you know what, I don’t know if I can do this. Maybe I can’t',” she said. “I woke up the next day and went back to the gym and did 4 crunches, and then I did 5 and then I did 6 and I really don’t need to boast but I am down for a crunch challenge right now. I did a lot of abs this morning.”

2. She Started with “Cardio Heavy” Workouts

Sara started with a lot of cardio. “I simply started eating healthy and began working out when in New York. There were so many different types of classes in that city, from functional training to boxing to cycling. But because I was so overweight at the start, my routine was more about cardio-heavy workouts like walking, cycling and hitting the treadmill—so that I could lose the weight before entering the intermediate forms of exercise,” she told Vogue India.

3. She Attributes Her Strong Core to Pilates

“Pilates is definitely the backbone of my fitness. It strengthens body balance and works on your core, which is the powerhouse of your entire body. Doing Pilates has enabled me to gain strength that's not only helpful in looking good but also in boosting physical stamina," she added to Vogue.

4. She Mixes Up Her Workouts

When it comes to her exercise method, Sara likes to mix it up. “It's pretty eclectic; it's a combination of functional training, Pilates, boxing and cardio. I like to change things up, but ensure that I work out for an hour and a half every single day—except on Sunday, because that's my day to chill. It really depends. If I've had a hard week [physically], then a Vinyasa yoga or Pilates class is a great workout. But if it's been a stressful and emotionally taxing week, there's nothing better than a 45-minute session of boxing to get the adrenalin pumping in my body,” she told Vogue.

5. These Are Her Pick-Me-Ups

Coffee,Cup,And,Coffee,Beans,On,TableShutterstock

If Sara needs a morning jolt, she has two go-to remedies. “If it's a taxing morning and I don't have the energy I need, then I take a multivitamin and a black coffee,” she told Vogue.

6. She Works Out Six Days a Week

Sara is committed to fitness, making exercise a daily duty. “I like to change things up, but ensure that I work out for an hour and a half every single day—except on Sunday because that's my day to chill,” she said, per Vogue.

Kaley Cuoco is an icon. Her breakout role was as Bridget on the sitcom 8 Simple Rules. She then joined the cast of Charmed in its final season as Billie. Cuoco’s most well-known role is as Penny on The Big Bang Theory. She recently starred in The Flight Attendant, which earned her an Emmy Nomination. Cuoco is in amazing shape, and a recent Instagram post proves it. In it, Cuoco wore a black dress. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Kaley Cuoco stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Works With A Trainer

Cuoco works with trainer, Ryan Sorensen to stay healthy. Sorensen broke down the workouts he does with her with Shape Magazine. “We have really ramped up her training,” he said. “Basically, she takes one day off a week and trains six days a week. My job is to always be in communication with her, keep her motivated with result-driven targets, and always listen to her body to make sure we are doing what her body can handle at any given point."

2. She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Sorensen tells Shape Magazine that Cuoco likes to do a variety of things to stay in shape. "Her training regimen consisted of high-intensity circuit full-body training, like cardio, strength training, and lots of core twice a week," he says. "Hot yoga once a week, and a couple of days a week she would ride (cycling), which is a beast of a workout."

3. She Climbs Stairs

Sorensen tells Shape Magazine that he has Cuoco do a lot of stair workouts. “We do different movements, like skip a stair, every stair, lateral stair climb, [and] plyo movements five to six times, then we hike back. All in all, it's about an hour workout.” ACEFitness.org states that stair workouts have a lot of benefits. “Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions — including high blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels — that increases your risk for heart disease, stroke, and diabetes, per Mayo Clinic. It's important for your overall health to reduce your risk. Some data suggest that using stairs in your everyday life, such as by walking up a flight or two instead of taking the elevator, is a burst of intense exercise that may stave off metabolic disease.”

4. She Uses A Treadmill

One thing Cuoco does to stay in shape is run on a treadmill. She did a lot of these workouts after having her daughter. “Putting that incline up is so good for your muscles, and for your circulation,” Cuoco tells TODAY.com. “I’ll also walk backward, which is amazing for your butt and legs. It pretty much works everything.” HealthyTalbot.org states that using a treadmill has a lot of benefits. “Treadmill working is an aerobic/ cardio exercise. Studies demonstrate that aerobic exercise can minimize the risk of heart diseases. Moreover, they can strengthen your heart muscles. This helps to lower blood pressure and allows the heart to pump blood more efficiently. Most doctors recommend aerobic exercise to people suffering from cardiovascular diseases.”

5. She Does Yoga

Cuoco shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Shape Magazine. She says that yoga is one of her favorite exercises. “Doing yoga five times a week has transformed my body,” she says. “I love being toned and having muscle; it’s so sexy and beautiful.” John Hopkins Medicine states that yoga has a lot of benefits. “Yoga is as good as basic stretching for easing pain and improving mobility in people with lower back pain. The American College of Physicians recommends yoga as a first-line treatment for chronic low back pain.”

6. She Has Scheduled Cheat Days

Hello,Sunday,Typography,Flat,Style,DesignShutterstock

Cuoco talked about her diet in her interview with Shape. She says that she makes sure to eat healthy, but doesn’t want to completely cut things out. For this reason, Cuoco says that she has scheduled cheat days. “I know when I’m being good all week long that come Sunday, I’m going to lie by the pool, have a drink, and eat some pizza. Then I wake up on Monday morning and I’m all ready to start the week again. I’m just going to be in a bad mood all the time if there’s no light at the end of the tunnel.”

7. She Stays Motivated

Cuoco makes sure to stay motivated to workout. She shared how she stays motivated to TODAY.com. “I remind myself that it’s just an hour of my day, and like eating, it’s important for my body and my heart,” Cuoco explains. “And you never leave a workout and go, ‘I wish I didn’t do that.’ Even if it wasn’t the workout you envisioned, even if it it was a little bit more low-key. Getting a good sweat sets the whole tone for the day.”

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Carrie Underwood, 40, is almost as famous for her commitment to fitness (have you seen her beautifully sculpted legs?) as she is for her Grammy award-winning singing voice. The mother of two looks phenomenal and has been working with trainer Eve Overland for the last 13 years who has helped the country artist's health journey evolve to near perfection. "Carrie is an amazing client to work with," Overland tells us. "She has an incredible work ethic and puts 100 percent effort into everything she does, in and out of the gym. Her dedication to health and fitness inspires so many, including myself."

The singer's perspective on wellness has changed a lot over the years and has even launched a fitness app with Overland. "Fit52 was born out of a fitness routine that I’ve done with her for years," she explains. "Seeing how we were able to achieve results, regardless if we were on the road, in a gym, or even virtual, and knowing how much fun we both had while working out, we wanted to make this lifestyle available to more people," Overland says. "So, we created fit52 and have been amazed that now over 500,000 people have used fit52 to develop healthy habits." Underwood is now gearing up to perform for the 11th consecutive year for Sunday Night Football and Overland exclusively shares with Celebwell how her "dream client" prepared to get ready for the big event and gives details on how the singer stays in such amazing shape.

1. She's Goal-Orientated

Celebrities Visit SiriusXM - September 13, 2023Cindy Ord/Getty Images

Underwood has an unwavering commitment to fitness and her trainer explains it's part of her "self-care." According to Overland, "For Carrie, working out is self-care and her 'me' time. She is the dream client you can rely on, don’t have to chase, or worry about her canceling/skipping a scheduled session." She adds, "I think one of the biggest things that makes her a great client is that she looks forward to working out and genuinely enjoys the process. She is goal-oriented and always up for a challenge. She pushes herself to grow and get stronger so she can continue to do what she loves to do for as long as possible. She and I have that in common. When you have two people that really enjoy the physical aspect of working out it becomes a lot of fun and takes the “work” out of working out."

2. How Her Journey Has Evolved

2023 CMT Music Awards – Red CarpetKevin Mazur/Getty Images

Underwood didn't always have a healthy outlook on fitness and worked out to be a certain size instead of exercising to have longevity, but has since changed her mindset. "True growth happens with you come to the realization that you must do what is right for you and your body. You can’t compare yourself to others," Overland tells us. "I think the biggest shift in mindset for Carrie is we are now playing the 'long game.' Working out “smarter” and not necessarily “harder”. Don’t get me wrong, Carrie’s workouts are still incredibly advanced, she is a machine." Overland says, "Now, training and nutrition isn’t just about looking a certain way or fitting into “x” size. It is about true health, wellness, and longevity. And this includes things like sleep, digestion, skin health, mood, and relationships. Staying active and mobile so we can do what we love to do for as long as possible. To show up as the favorite version of yourself for yourself and your loved ones. (And for Carrie, sharing her incredible gift to all her fans)."

3. Consistency is Key

2022 People's Choice Awards - ArrivalsAmy Sussman/Getty Images

The one thing that's really helped Underwood succeed fitness-wise is not giving up. "I think the biggest factor that has helped Carrie reach her fitness goals is simply…consistency," Overland says. "She has been working out regularly for decades. Like the rest of your body, your muscles mature and continue to grow in strength, size, and fullness. It is her years of practice, showing up, doing the work, and really embracing fitness as a lifestyle that has contributed to her incredible physique as well as reaching her goals of strength and power." She continues, "In addition to her commitment to the workouts, prioritizing weightlifting and strength training has been a big game-changer for her overall physique. She is no stranger to picking up heavy things…and her body responds readily (with the appropriate dosage of course.)"

4. How She Preps for a Big Event Like Sunday Night Football

2022 American Music Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Although she often performs in front of large crowds, Underwood doesn't go overboard with her workouts when she's scheduled for an event like Sunday Night Football. "I like to say Carrie is always 'one foot in one foot out,' because of her healthy lifestyle and commitment to fitness, she really doesn’t have to deviate far from her normal workout routine or overhaul her diet for any event," Overland shares. "We don’t have to prep months in advance, spend hours in the gym, or go on some crazy juice cleanse. She is dialed in and understands her body so well, she knows exactly what small tweaks she may need to make, physically and nutritionally, so she feels and performs her best."

5. How She Tones Her Lower-Body

Celebrity Sightings In New York - September 14, 2023Jose Perez/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

Underwood has amazingly toned legs and her lower-body workout is no joke. "When it comes to leg exercises, we stick to the basics, because they work," Overland says. "We focus on compound lifts that not only help to increase strength and muscle building/shaping but are also functional. They have the most carryover to everyday life. For example, squats, lunges, and deadlifts will always be the cornerstone of Carrie’s leg routine." She adds, "We do have a leg press machine in our workout gym trailer that we use frequently. It is a great option to really add load and focus on leg strength. We also have a cable machine and plenty of bands for more isolation exercises/detailed work. Think glute kickbacks and hamstring curls."

6. How She Gets a Lean Upper-Body

2022 American Music Awards - ShowKevin Winter/Getty Images

Underwood is toned from head to toe and has an incredible upper body. "Carrie is known for her amazing legs, but she has some serious arms too," Overland states. "As mentioned, Carrie loves a challenge. She can rep out strict pull-ups, which takes incredible strength and is incredibly impressive." Her trainer reveals, "Much like the leg exercises, we focus on the basic push/pull exercises of the upper body as well; shoulder press, chest press, lat pulldowns, and rows. And of course, we never forget what we jokingly call the “vanity muscles”. (The ones you want to look great when wearing a tank top). Medial deltoids, biceps, and triceps."

For anyone interested in the fit52 app, search the App Store or Google Play for fit52 and download and try it for yourself. "For a special 30 days free, use my special link https://fit52.page.link/eve," Overland says.

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Lifting Weights

Bianca spends hours at the gym where she focuses on strength training along with endurance, cardio, reaction time, and reflexes. “You know, to be a driver, it’s a complete package. It takes strength. It takes mental fortitude. It takes reflexes, smart thinking, and survival skills,” she told MEGA Active. “Sometimes it's for the body, sometimes it's for the mind. Nothing more peaceful than early sessions,” she captioned an Instagram post of one of her sessions.

Double Down On Training

In her recent post, Bianca reveals that she working extra hard at the gym. “I’ve been working hard over the years to build a solid foundation, but in 2025, I’ll be working with @j_w_90 and I’m doubling down on my training. Increasing to two workouts a day not just on lifts but aerobic endurance, as well as a better focus on nutrition and rest, in order to raise the bar to compete in the higher formulas,” she said.

Fueling Your Body With Protein

Bianca makes sure to eat enough protein in order to build more muscle and stay as lean as possible to meet the weight requirement. “It’s been a really cool journey seeing my body develop and transform into this whole different person I never knew I could become,” she said. In her new post she added that she is meal prepping. “I’m soooo all in that im even learning how to cook & meal prep better than ever before,” she writes.

Taking Cold Plunges

As for recovery, cold plunging is part of Bianca’s training regime. Limited research supports the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increasing focus, improving sleep, and decreasing inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes post-sport recovery.

Working On Self-Esteem

Positive self-talk is also important. “Of course, I put a lot of pressure on myself, but in the end, I always tell myself that as long as I give my best and I learn from it, any mistake I make is valid,” Bianca explained. “I always try to repeat that to myself that I am valid. I’m here for a reason and there’s nothing I would rather do than be here.”

Dancing

It builds strength and promotes flexibility, helps you lose weight, and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop or die from heart disease than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues

Swimming

Brenda spends a lot of time in her swimsuit so it isn’t surprising she loves to swim. According to the CDC, swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, multiple studies support the mental health benefits of swimming.

Hydration

Finally, Brenda hydrates, especially after a long workout or sun exposure. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Supports Animals

Romani has her own charity, Help Miami Cats. She talked about how she started this in the caption of this Instagram post. “❤️ Guys!!!! I have always loved cats and had many growing up. When I moved to Miami Beach I met a great calico named Chacha and learnt that cats were brought to the city by Mayor Lummus … against rodents. Cats rely on volunteers for their food and water and there’s a huge amount of them. There’s a city program to Spay and neuter with the wonderful @sobecats ladies and the feeding is made official by a City Sanctioned badge, yet new cats keep getting dumped daily sadly and there’s a never ending amount of work, emergencies and so on. I was on a feeding rotation but during the pandemic I was left alone caring for so many as people left town or couldn’t afford feeding anymore …I decided to start my own non profit @helpmiamicats . We feed close to 200 and when Batman got paralyzed took him and other special needs cats under my care … @stevensachs69 with the cat room and the amazing people involved devote their lives to these special souls … My life has changed a lot too … way less spare time, way more sweat and tears and lost the person I had by my side who had sadly other priorities … yet gained so much love from these lovely creatures !!! If you can please get involved in any way … follow @helpmiamicats , share, volunteer, adopt … donate … Only together we can make their world a better place !!! And yes … just me feeding the kitties and talking to them … 🤷🏻♀️👀😆❤️🙌”
