5 Ways 90’s Icon Candace Cameron Bure Keeps Her Bikini Body

Candace Cameron Bure is one of the icons of the 90’s. She played DJ Tanner on the hit sitcom Full House, and reprised her role on the 2016 Netflix spinoff, Fuller House. Candace has also appeared in projects for the Hallmark Channel and Great American Country, and competed on the 18th season of Dancing With The Stars. Candace is also extremely fit, and she makes sure to live a healthy lifestyle. Here are 5 of her secrets.
She Does Workouts She Enjoys

Candace makes sure to workout on a regular basis. Her secret? Doing exercise that she actually enjoys doing. “The secret is doing the type of exercise I actually enjoy so it doesn’t feel like a chore,” Candace explained in an interview with EatingWell. “I also love social walks or hikes with a friend.”
She Works With A Trainer
Candace works with trainer, Kira Stokes to keep herself in shape. “Our workouts incorporate strength training with cardio, plyo work and balance,” she said to People Magazine. “What’s so specific about Kira is the order of the moves that she does that complement one another, which really makes a huge difference in her workout.”
She Eats A Mediterranean Inspired Diet

Candace makes sure to eat healthy, and broke down her diet to People Magazine. “I eat a very plant and grain-based diet,” she says. “I follow a more Mediterranean diet, so I eat lots of fresh vegetables and whole grains and fish. I don’t eat dairy very often, and I’ve cut most of the sugar out of my diet — I see the biggest effect from not eating as much sugar.”
She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Candace likes to do a lot of things to keep herself in shape, and shared some of her favorites with Parade. “I try to work out four to five times a week. I mix it up a lot, so it stays interesting to me. I’m usually at the gym two or three times a week, and the other days are at home using the Kira Stokes fitness app, or outside running, or doing the Santa Monica stairs. I’ve taken to the Stoked Method which includes a combination of cardio, strength, weights, plyometrics and mobility. I often jump rope, use bands and gliders and lift weights—both heavy and light—for fine tuning.”
She Focuses On Technique

When she’s exercising, Candace isn’t focused on doing things fast and getting a ton of reps. Instead, she focuses on doing the moves properly. “Technique and form is key,” Candace said to Parade. “If you don’t actively engage the right muscles for each move, you’re doing the movement in vain. Slower and done properly is where you want to be.”
