5 Ways Julie Bowen Makes Her 50’s Look Like Her 30’s

Julie Bowen has appeared in some of our favorite movies and TV shows. She’s best known for her role as Claire Dunphy on Modern Family, which earned her an Emmy. Julie showed her versatility as an actress in the thriller series, Hysteria! Recently, she appeared in Happy Gilmore 2, reprising her role from the first film. Fans noticed that Julie seemingly hasn’t aged since the first film was released in the 90’s. Here are 5 ways Julie Bowen makes 55 look like 35, or even 25.
She Loves Mushroom Tea

In the mornings, Julie typically opts for coffee. However, she is trying to limit it. She shared her favorite alternative to java in an interview with Well + Good. “Sometimes I’ll do this mushroom tea called MUDWTR—it’s pretty great I have to say. You do have to put a little almond milk or stevia in there, but I love the way it makes me feel.”
She Loves Pickleball

Julie talked about her love of pickleball with Well + Good. “Just today, I had a gorgeous 90-minute pickleball session with my best friend and business partner, Rachel. We play singles, which is a brutal workout because you have to run for every ball. I don’t wear any special shoes or anything, just tennis shoes. My friends call me Derelicte from the Zoolander movie because I dress in whatever—sometimes a hole-y t-shirt and basketball shorts.”
She Takes Care Of Her Skin
Julie has amazing skin and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her go-to products with Well + Good. “I used to have oily skin, but as I get older, it gets drier. I love the Weleda Skin Food—it’s an ultra-rich face cream that feels like a paste, it’s the best. I’ve also got a couple vitamin C serums on rotation and then I use Supergoop! sunscreen. Or I’ll use IT Cosmetics Nude Glow CC cream if I want to feel more pulled together. It’s sheer enough, but evens out my freckles.”
She Goes Outside
Julie shared some of her go-to wellness secrets with Women’s Day. The actress loves spending time outside. “I just want to feel good, and I want my brain to feel good, and that means going outside,” she says. “You don’t need any equipment. You don’t need anything other than this desire to take care of yourself.”
She Focuses On Small Steps
Wellness and being healthy can be overwhelming. But Julie has a solution. She tells Women’s Day that she breaks her wellness routine down into small steps. That way, it’s easier for her to accomplish everything. “It’s just the small steps instead of looking at like this wall of health you have to scale, which feels really overwhelming.”
