5 Ways Kelly Rowland Got Fit To Reunite With Destiny’s Child

The singer may be in her 40's, but she looked like she was in her 20's when she performed.

Singer and Building The Band judge, Kelly Rowland, may be in her 40’s, but she looks decades younger. A perfect example is when she and Michelle Williams joined Beyonce on her Cowboy Carter tour. All three Destiny’s Child members wore sparkly outfits. Kelly looked amazing on stage and she got to show off her toned figure. How does Kelly Rowland look so good? Read on to learn 5 of her tips.

1

She Goes To SoulCycle

Kelly shared some of her diet and exercise secrets in an interview with Extra. She says that she loves going to SoulCycle classes, and she made sure to praise her instructor. “Jeanette Jenkins is the secret, SoulCycle is the secret, Angela Davis… when I go in there and it’s the wee hours of the morning she is a great secret, so motivational. Jeanette comes in with so much energy and this huge smile on her face and you can’t help but to get excited about working out.”

2

She Follows The 80/20 Rule

When it comes to her diet, Kelly believes in balance. For this reason, she uses the 80/20 eating approach. “The 80/20 rule is all the way real,” Kelly told Extra. “Eighty percent of the time, you eat those foods giving you nourishment. You’re eating clean. And twenty percent of the time, have guacamole, a ton of it like I do, and a margarita and maybe queso too!”

3

She’s Comfortable With Her Body

No matter how she looks, Kelly is comfortable with her body. “Whether I look masculine or feminine, I’m comfortable in my skin,” she tells Us Weekly. “I don’t give a care what anybody says, I look great. And I feel that’s how every woman should feel. Don’t be ashamed of your body; own it”

4

She’s Motivated

Kelly’s family is the main reason she’s motivated to take care of herself. “I promised myself when I became a mother, I would have my kids see me eat healthy,” she tells TODAY.com. “I can indulge, of course sometimes — and work out and go for walks with them. I feel like the earlier kids learn all these things for themselves, the more they’ll be able to put it in their own lives.”

5

She Improves Her Alignment

Kelly works with trainer, Massy Arias, to keep herself fit. She tells Us Weekly that Massy helps with her alignment. “I love the fact that everything has to do with the alignment of your body and keeping your body in as great as alignment for the sake of your core. The core for the sake of your back. Your back to hold up your neck; everything is aligned. I want to keep that with me for the rest of my life.”
