She Doesn’t Pressure Herself To Exercise

Lane opened up about her wellness secrets in an interview with Sports Illustrated. She says that when it comes to exercise, she doesn’t put too much pressure on herself. “I used to be really rigid. [Now] I’m actually more of the mindset of, obviously I’d love to train every day and that could be anything from weight training to just going for a nice walk. I really try and look at it that way now. I think it’s a healthier mindset to have and not to give yourself a hard time if you can’t do it.”

She Loves Leafy Greens

Lane shared some of her favorite foods in an interview with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. She says that she loves incorporating leafy greens like Swiss chard and kale into her diet. “Packed with essential nutrients, leafy greens provide a variety of vitamins and minerals necessary for hormone production and balance,” Lane explained. “They also contain fiber, which aids in hormone metabolism and elimination.”

She Loves Avocado

Lane also loves eating avocados to keep herself healthy. She explained why in her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit interview. “Avocados are rich in healthy fats, particularly monounsaturated fats, which are beneficial for hormonal health. Lane tells Sports Illustrated Swimsuit that she likes to eat Greek yogurt. “A good source of protein and probiotics, Greek yogurt supports gut health, which is linked to hormonal balance. Probiotics contribute to a healthy gut microbiome, influencing hormone regulation. Choose plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt for optimal benefits.”

She Focuses On Hormone Health

A lot of Lane’s workout secrets involve managing hormones. She talked about this in her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit interview. “If you are struggling with high cortisol, then you should stay away from HIIT workouts as this will only add fuel to the fire. Hormone health—especially when it comes to women—[requires us] to make sure to look at the whole picture. You’ll find everything is a balance and all connected, even down to your home environment, spirituality, connection, exercise, finances and more.”

Penny Lane is one of the winners of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s yearly contest: the SI Swim Search, for 2023. From the looks of a video she posted on Instagram in July, Lane is a great fit. In it, she is seen modeling in the SI Swim fashion show. She captioned the post, “Still pinching myself for waking down the @si_swimsuit runway! What a beautiful experience filled with so much positivity. Thank you Sports illustrated @theswimfluencenetwork for making this a reality.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Penny Lane stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Meditates

Lane shared some of her favorite wellness practices in this Instagram post. One thing she likes to do is meditate. The Mayo Clinic states that meditation has a lot of benefits. “Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health. You can also use it to relax and cope with stress by refocusing your attention on something calming. Meditation can help you learn to stay centered and keep inner peace.”

2. She Swims

Lane loves to swim to stay in shape. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself in the water. Lane shared this set of photos of herself snorkeling in the Palm Heights Grand Cayman. She captioned the post, “This was such an arm pinching moment. We were snorkelling around the coral Reef and this beautiful turtle came out of nowhere and swam with us.”

3. She Does Full-Body Workouts

Lane makes sure to workout on a regular basis. One thing she likes to do is do full-body workouts. She shared some of her favorite exercises in this video she posted on Instagram. In it, Lane is seen hanging from a bar pedaling her legs, leaning forward and back, using battle ropes, and doing arm and leg raises on a machine. She captioned the post, “Full body burn.” Doing full-body workouts ensures that your entire body is challenged.

4. She Paddleboards

Swimming isn’t the only thing Lane likes to do by the water. She also likes to go paddleboarding. Lane shared these photos on Instagram of herself paddleboarding in the Palm Heights Grand Cayman. Paddleboarding can help you build core muscles. The Mayo Clinic states that having a strong core is important. “Your core is the central part of your body. It includes your pelvis, lower back, hips and stomach. The stomach muscles sometimes are called abs. Core exercises train the muscles in your core to work in harmony. This leads to better balance and steadiness, also called stability. Stability is important whether you're on the playing field or doing regular activities. In fact, most sports and other physical activities depend on stable core muscles.”

5. She Eats Locally Sourced Food

In her wellness Instagram post, Lane mentions that she eats locally sourced foods. According to Virtua Health, local foods have a lot of benefits. “The main health benefit of locally grown food is that it’s fresher. Fruits and vegetables begin to lose their nutrients within 24 hours of being picked, so fresher produce is more nutritious. In addition, locally grown food is picked at its peak ripeness, when it’s most dense with nutrients.”

The Real Housewives of Miami star and socialite Larsa Pippen is currently on vacation in Turks and Caicos, and just shared a new photo on Instagram. In it, Pippen posed in an opening in a stone wall. She wore a black bathing suit with green and orange splashes from Pretty Little Thing. Pippen’s impressive abs were on display. She captioned the post, “Sun kissed.” How does she stay so fit? 1. She Does Tabata

The Daily Front Row's 5th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards - ArrivalsJon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

Pippen has her own YouTube channel dedicated to sharing workout videos. She does a lot of different things to stay in shape. One thing Pippen is a fan of is tabata exercises. She posted this video of herself and her daughter doing a full body tabata workout. In it, they do exercises like jumping jacks, lunges, and hand taps. The Cleveland Clinic reports that tabata has a lot of benefits. “The answer is simple: You’d be hard-pressed finding another workout routine that builds as much cardiorespiratory endurance in as short a time. Studies have shown that devoting a few minutes to Tabata increases cardio and strength more than devoting far more hours to moderate-intensity workouts. It’s a pretty impressive fat burner, too.”

2. She Does HIIT

Legends Ball - 2022 BravoConSantiago Felipe/Getty Images

Another type of workout Pippen likes to do is HIIT, or high-intensity interval training. She shared this video on her YouTube channel of herself doing a full-body HIIT workout. In it, Pippen is seen doing Arnold presses and front squats with hand weights. She’s also doing workouts like mountain climbers and jump squats. AceFitness.org states HIIT has a lot of benefits. “Anaerobic interval training uses the body’s reserves of energy and, after a workout, metabolism stays elevated and continues to burn calories for hours after the workout. This is due to something called the excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) effect. With HIIT, you not only burn a lot of calories during the workout, but because of the high intensity you will continue to burn calories as your body replaces energy and repairs muscle proteins damaged during exercise.”

3. She Works Out Her Legs

Pippen doesn’t skip leg day. She revealed some of her favorite lower body workouts in this video on her YouTube channel. In it, she is seen doing different kinds of squats, like static lunges, front squats with a shoulder press, and in and out squats with a press, all while holding hand weights. Pippen also does workouts like a hip bridge hold and side plank rotations.

4. She Works Out Her Abs

Pippen has amazing abs, and she makes sure to do a lot of core exercises for them. She shared some of her favorites in this video on her YouTube channel. “I’m going to do a quick ab workout,” Pippen says to introduce the video. “All you need is 10 minutes.” In it, Pippen is seen doing crunches, static scissor crunches, v-sit ups, and bicycles, among others.

5. She Has Good Eating Habits

On Pippen’s website, she opens up about her wellness routine. One thing she talked about were some of her go-to diet tips and tricks. Pippen says that instead of doing a plan or a crash diet, she focuses on building good habits. “Instead of adapting a regimented diet, change the way you eat and practice healthy eating habits. Find a satisfying eating plan with a menu you can live with long-term, and make sure you’re eating the right amount of calories for weight loss.”

Taylor Hill, the supermodel and former Victoria's Secret Angel, is no stranger to being in front of the camera. That’s one reason why she’s so good at social media. She has almost 19 million Instagram followers, who come to see her latest looks; accordingly, she shared her latest swimsuit scenes from Zara Swim. “Stunning Lady,” said Emily in Paris star Lily Collins. “Tay so beautiful❤️❤️” commented fellow model Elsa Hosk. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Taylor Hill stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Does Group Fitness Classes

Hill has gone to ModelFit, which did full-body group fitness classes. "We do a lot of slow, muscle-targeting movements with gliding discs and two-pound weights. Almost kind of floor Pilates in a way because we get on the floor, and she puts resistance bands around my ankles and things like that. It's so hard—it doesn't sound hard, and it doesn't look hard, but I could back squat, like, 85 pounds, and I quiver when I do this. I'm like, Oh my God, I can't stand up anymore because I'm so sore! It's amazing," she told Byrdie.

2. She Tried Strength Training

"I used to do a lot of weight training, lifting, and things like that," she says. "It was really difficult, which I liked, but then I realized I wasn't getting the results that I wanted. You have to drink gnarly protein shakes and all of that to build that muscle, especially when you're as tall as me. I'm like; I can't develop muscle; it's just not working!” she told Byrdie.

3. She Used to Bulk Up Before a Show

Off-White : Front Row - Paris Fashion Week - Womenswear F/W 2022-2023Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images

“I eat 3,000 calories a day before the VS show. Three thousand!” she told The Sunday Times back when she was modeling for Victoria’s Secret. “There’s no way you look like that and don’t eat. You would die. Victoria’s Secret girls are like athletes. We’re like Olympians. We’re strong.” She added: “I just love being me.”

4. She Cares for Her Skin

Moschino - Backstage - Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2022/2023Vittorio Zunino Celotto/Getty Images

“I just keep it really easy, and I use really clean products without a lot of chemicals in them. I use a very simple face wash called CeraVe. It’s for [removing] makeup that causes acne. And then I use coconut oil for hydration. It’s the best! Hair, skin and nails,” she once told Coveteur. “When I’m not working, I literally don’t have a beauty routine. I try to just roll natural, because, you know, I work everyday and put makeup on like crazy everyday. I think on my days off, it’s really nice to just give my skin a break and just hang out; put my hair in a knot and just walk around.” Consuming coconut oil can be good, as well. “It's the quality of your cholesterol that matters, and coconut oil actually increases the good cholesterol, HDL. It increases the LDL, but it makes the particles better so they're not as damaging,” says Dr. Mark Hyman to the Mayo Clinic.

5. This Was Her Diet in NYC During the Victoria’s Secret Years

Armani "One Night Only" - Front RowCedric Ribeiro/Getty Images

"I drink protein shakes, eat a lot of chicken, and try to make more home-cooked meals. It's really hard in New York because everything is so small. My kitchen is tiny, but it's nice because it forces me to learn something new every day and not cook the same things over and over. Snack-wise, I like dark chocolate just because it's something sweet and it makes me feel like I'm eating what I want," she told Allure. Dark chocolate is a healthy choice. "Flavanols are a type of flavonoid that’s found in plants such as the cacao tree. These trees produce the cacao beans used to make chocolate," says the Cleveland Clinic. “Flavanols are abundant in cacao beans,” says dietitian Devon Peart, MHSc, BASc, RD. “The cacao beans are fermented and roasted, producing what we call cocoa beans. We make cocoa solids from those" and dark chocolate "contains two to three times more flavanol-rich cocoa solids as compared to milk chocolate,” Peart adds. “It’s significantly higher.”

In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.

She’s Consistent

Last year, Culpo was preparing for her wedding. She told E! News that she made sure to be consistent with her wellness in order to prepare. “Really trying to dial in [on] what I eat, how I workout, the workouts that I do. Trying to get them in consistently because you only get married once and I want to feel my best. But this past season it was just hard being so far away from my normal routine and where I typically live."

She Keeps Her Skin Healthy While Traveling

Culpo has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it, even while traveling. “I don't wear any makeup when traveling," she says to Travel + Leisure. "That's one rule because I do feel like you will have a higher chance of breaking out if you are wearing a full face of makeup. A few things I always have with me is some sort of a spray. I love Dr. Barbara Sturm or Caudalie or La Mer. I also absolutely love traveling with a makeup wipe, the Neutrogena wipes are great. Something to just take off the sweat you build up.”

She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Culpo shared her skincare routines with Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning and night routine simple. “I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

She Uses Products With Vitamins

Culpo shared some of her favorite skincare products with Byrdie. She says that she uses ones that have vitamins in them. “I have noticed a huge difference in my skin with vitamin C and E. I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. It is super cheap and great to put on any red marks I may get from an occasional breakout. The healing process is so much quicker when I am using Vitamin E oil.”

She Packs Healthy Snacks

Culpo makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of the snacks she packs with her with Travel + Leisure. "I love the Kind bars. I love any sort of nuts, to be honest with you. They are a go-to snack for me. I would say Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% and some almonds would be perfect! Also, electrolytes to stay hydrated or some sort of collagen beauty powder or something."

Abigail Ratchford’s amazing body has helped her become one of the most famous models on the internet. The 32-year-old, who boasts over 9.1 million followers on Instagram alone, attributes her measurement-defying body to a few simple habits. Here is everything she does to stay fit at 32.

She Follows 4 Diet Rules

Abigail swears that abiding by simple rules helps her stay in shape. “I can’t diet. That just doesn’t work for me,” she told New Beauty. “I started to be healthier by first cutting out soda. Then, I stopped eating after 7 p.m. Finally, I started really watching my portions so I was eating fewer calories every day. And water—lots and lots of water.”

She UsesMyFitnessPal

Abigail explains being accountable for what she eats is crucial. While it’s not “rocket science,” she does use the MyFitnessPal app to track her eating. “I’m the type of person who likes to eat what I want. The app can help anyone do that—you can still eat great food, you just eat less of it,” she added New Beauty.

Pilates

Golden girl Abigail Ratchford is spotted out on the town

Abigail is a fan of Pilates. “Group workout classes are so big right now, but I always get nervous around other people in settings like that. I have to go at my own pace without a bunch of distractions so, for me, Pilates with a one-on-one instructor works best. It’s not cheap, but then you also aren’t tempted to skip,” she said She added to Men’s Fitness via Muscle & Fitness that the workout “keeps you long and lean” — and the Mayo Clinic agrees. They say it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Balanced Diet

“I love green juices and smoothies. Sometimes I’ll put some protein powder in the morning—I feel like the mix of vegetables, and vitamins and stuff that’s in them, really gives me a lot of energy in the morning. I love BBQ food—my ultimate cheat is a pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese from this great place in LA,” she told Men’s Fitness.

Strength Training
