90’s Icon Sarah Michelle Gellar In Black Dress Celebrates “30 Years”

Sarah Michelle Gellar is one of the pop culture icons of the 90’s. From her role as Buffy Summers on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, to her appearances in the films Cruel Intentions, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and the live-action Scooby Doo. Sarah recently appeared on the Dexter prequel series, and is rebooting Buffy. She recently attended Ebay’s 30th anniversary party, and made sure to show off her legs. Sarah shared some highlights on Instagram, and she wore a black dress with beaded flowers. Here are 5 ways Sarah Michelle Gellar maintains her amazing figure.

She Prioritizes Her Health

 

Sarah opened up about changes she’s made to her wellness routine to MyFitnessPal. She says that she is making her health a priority. “After having kids, health became a bigger priority. I want to be around for a long time and set a good example for them. I also want to have more control over what we eat and how we nourish our bodies.”

She Eats A Lot Of Protein

Sarah talked about the changes she’s made to her diet with MyFitnessPal. She says that she prioritizes getting enough protein in each day. “For me, it’s all about making protein easy and effortless. I don’t do anything extreme—I’m a busy mom, I need things that work in real life. So I started by just being more aware of protein. Now I always ask myself: ‘Where’s the protein?’ when I’m making a meal or snack.”

She Meal Preps

Sarah uses MyFitnessPal to help her plan healthy meals out. “Meal planning is something I’ve been attempting to do for some time now, but [MyFitnessPal streamlines it],” she says to Parade. “You can go through and pick out recipes based on what you’re looking for, high protein, vegetarian, whatever. Then it will make you a grocery list, and you can even hit a button to purchase everything on that list from a grocery store near you. It takes out all the pressure of meal planning and just leaves you with the best part, which is having food that’s really accessible.”

She Strength Trains

Sarah talked about her love of strength training to MyFitnessPal. “I wanted to feel strong. I’ve done all kinds of workouts over the years, but strength training has been a total game-changer. It’s not about appearance—it’s about feeling capable. I want to lift my kids, carry groceries, and just keep up with my life. At some point, I realized cardio wasn’t enough. Strength training helps protect muscle, support bone health, and it’s great for long-term wellness.”

She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Sarah shared some of her skincare tips with Shape Magazine. “I treat my skin nicely, and it’s not necessarily this specific product per se…But it’s about making sure that every night, I wash my face. And it’s not just wash it and go to bed. I wash it, I rub it, I prep it, I give it minerals, you know, the same way you would treat the rest of your body.”
