Here’s how this actress takes care of her health.

Spanish actress and model María Pedraza is enjoying a blissful vacation in gorgeous Formentera, Spain. Pedraza, 27, shared stunning pictures of her trip, highlighting the beautiful blue skies and crystal waters of the island. "Smelling the sea and feeling the sky," she captioned a post of herself wearing a black and orange bikini as she enjoyed the ocean on a paddleboard. How does she stay so fit? Avocado Toast and Eggs

Pedraza starts her day with a healthy dose of good fats and protein, in the form of delicious avocado toast and eggs. "[Avocados are] packed with good fats and fiber, which means they help you stay full longer," says Charlotte Roberts, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator with Cedars-Sinai. "They're also a great source of vitamins."

Watermelon and Kiwi

Pedraza enjoys watermelon and kiwi for a refreshing snack. Kiwi is high in both prebiotics and vitamin C, which are highly beneficial for health. "The right balance of probiotics is important for many body processes, including fighting off illnesses and regulating your hormones," says Gillian Culbertson, RD. Pedraza uses weights with her exercises to build muscle and tone up. "A plank is when you hold your body in a straight and in-line position like a plank of wood," says exercise physiologist Katie Lawton, MEd. "Exercise can have a positive effect on our mental health. When you see yourself getting stronger, it can be encouraging. It's also important to breathe while you plank to further engage your core muscles. Some breathing techniques can help boost your mood."

She's a Dancer

Pedraza is a trained classical dancer, and says the practice helps her both physically and mentally. "I'm trying to find that balance between being self-demanding and being a little more free and tolerant of myself," she says. "But yes, having studied dance for acting has helped me a lot, it also requires a lot of discipline and above all, concentration and passion."

Pedraza takes time for self-care when she has down time, to nourish both inner and outer health. The actress is a huge fan of using deep conditioners for her hair.
