"Birthday spa day," she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Sophia Pierson stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
She Is All About Self-Care
Pierson has several methods of self-care. "There are many things I do beyond meditating and journaling to feel self-love and taking care of myself," she revealed in a blog post. "A lot of these things have to do with creating things, like doing my nails, cooking, organizing, doing yoga, using crystals, going to the gym, painting, going to the spa or reading a good book."
She Meditates
Pierson advocates meditation and journaling. "My mind is calm and I am completely in the moment, so I am generally happy for the most part of my day," she added. "If something bad happens or I am triggered by someone, I am quick to shift my mood back to neutral, because I know that moping around doesn't benefit me."
She Prioritizes Sleep
Sophia makes sure to get enough sleep. "I sleep eight hours a night and if I don't I'm a zombie; I am obsessed with my sleep and love sleeping in," she told Us. "I am definitely not a morning person."
She Hydrates
Sophia doesn't neglect hydration. "I cannot leave the house without a bottle of water," she told Us. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
She Takes Baths
Sophia loves taking baths. "One of my favourite things to do at night is take baths because I can unplug from the world and fully destress. During this time, I love to unwind, let go of my everyday anxieties and be still with myself," she wrote in a blog. "I'm also a huge product junkie and love to pamper my skin with luxury products, which is all a part of the therapy in taking a bath! Bath salts, essential oils, candles…. Sign me up."
