Lori Harvey has "reunited" with her Pretty Little Thing "fam" – in her swimsuit. The influencer shows off her incredible body by modeling a bathing suit from her upcoming collaboration with the brand in one of her latest social media posts. "My new swimwear edit launches on July 11th! You don't wanna miss it," she captioned the Instagram snap. How does she maintain her impressive physique? Read on to see 5 ways Lori Harvey stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
She Does Cardio and Weights
Lori, a regular at The Dogpound, maintains a balance of cardio and weights. "I usually try to switch it up and do more cardio some days and more strength training on others," the Pretty Little Thing ambassador revealed to the brand. Her workouts usually start with a five-minute warmup, followed by a few circuits of strength training, "either lower or upper body depending on what day it is and I always finish with ab work," she said.
She Keeps Healthy Food on Hand
Because Lori is devoted to a healthy diet, she tries to keep her fridge stocked with nutritious food and drinks. "I always keep some fruit around, I love strawberries and pomegranates. Lots of water. And some type of breakfast foods like eggs or oatmeal," she said.
She Boxes
Like many of the stars who work out at The Dogpound, Lori loves to box. Harvard Health maintains that boxing a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance, and helps increase alertness.
She Does Pilates
Lori is also a fan of Pilates. "We had the booty band on the entire time," she recently told Bustle during an interview, which was conducted post-Pilates class. "I just feel muscles working that I didn't even know I had, but that is what I'm really into right now." Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it "strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
Her Lifestyle Is Very Active
Lori also stays fit with the help of an active lifestyle. One of her hobbies? Riding horses."It's very freeing. My mind constantly is going at a million things 24/7; it's hard for me to shut my brain down. When I'm on a horse, literally that is all I'm thinking about: me in that moment and me and that horse. You have to be very in tune to the horse and what's going on, and picking up on them and the environment, and making sure there's not anything around that could maybe spook them or scare them," she told Bustle. "I did show jumping, so I'm paying attention to my distance from the jumps and the setup, and is [the horse] positioned right? So many things go into it, but it's a very freeing experience."
