Millie Bobbie Brown in Bathing Suit Shares "My Summer Read"

Here’s how she stays so fit.

Millie Bobbie Brown is showing off her book – and her body in a bathing suit. The Stranger Things star, who recently added "author" to her resume with the publication of Nineteen Steps, suns in a white swimsuit in one of her latest social media posts. "My summer read," she captioned the Instagram snap. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 6 ways Millie Bobbie Brown stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

She Hydrates

Millie drinks at least half a bottle of water. "I've always found that hydration is the biggest key to keeping your skin happy and healthy and that is what Essentia's message is, so it felt like the most organic relationship," she told Women's Health. "I drink water right before bed and right as my eyes open in the morning."

Her Diet Isn't Restrictive

Millie isn't restrictive when it comes to her diet. "I'll never say no to anything," she told Women's Health. For breakfast, she loves huevos rancheros huevos (though, she doesn't really like eggs) and for lunch, a Greek salad. "[Huevos rancheros] is what I'd get if I'm going to a breakfast place, other than that I am not the type to order an omelet," she told Women's Health. She also loves Italian food, and snacking on fruit like apples, pears, mangos, or grapes.

Spending Time with Her Animals Is Self-Care

Millie likes to journal, but another way she indulges in self-care and relaxation is by spending time with her animals. "Animal healing is the biggest way to calm down for me, personally," she says. Millie has a pet donkey, goats, five dogs, a cat, and a dwarf bunny named Bellatrix. "Everything revolves around my animals," Millie said.

She Boxes

"It's not a training workout. I train to box," Millie told Vulture. "Obviously I don't want to do it professionally. But I have done some inter-clubs before. It's at Phoenix MMA U.K., down in London. It's a great gym, and I have lots of friends. Because I'm homeschooled, I get kind of lonely sometimes. So I like to go to the gym. I do Thai boxing Mondays, jujitsu Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Wednesdays I do boxing with Mark. He was a world champion at one point. I absolutely love it. I actually have a punching bag right outside in my garden. I'm obsessed with working out. I eat like a pig so it kind of makes up for that."

She Rides a Peloton

"When I need a minute to myself, I just get on the Peloton and ride. I'm obsessed with the Taylor Swift Collection—that's the only thing I'll ride to. Sometimes if it's a long day and it's 8 p.m., but I still don't want to say no, I'll do a 20-minute ride that's pretty chill. But if it's midday and I'm just ready to get it all out, I'll do a 45-minute ride that's really hard," Millie told Marie Marie Claire

She Reads

As can be evidenced by her latest post, Millie likes to read – her own book! One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.
