They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.
Try a Plant-Based Diet
Emma, a longtime vegan, has her own vegan food company. "I am a huge food lover and I grew up in the food industry, so in 2018 I started my own food company, Emma Leigh & Co. Drink Up…Water, That Is
"I have a busy life and I drink a lot of water throughout the day," Emma told E! about her approach to hydration. However, instead of drinking plain water, she adds some fulvic acid drops to it. "My fave water is Blk. Water. I also carry Blk. Drops in my purse so I can add it to my to coffee and smoothies to make sure I get all the minerals I need," she said. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
Take a Hike
Emma loves a good hike. "Getting outside is so good for the body and the mind," she told Women's Health, revealing that she hikes 5 miles per day. "And you're getting that nice little glute workout."
Do Pilates and Yoga
Emma is also a fan of yoga and pilates, both of which offer major mind-body benefits. And, the American Osteopathic Association reveals that nearly all the 100 different types, or schools, of yoga include breathing exercises, meditation, and assuming postures (sometimes called asana or poses) that stretch and flex various muscle groups.
Cook
Emma maintains that cooking is good for her mental health. "Cooking for me is therapeutic," Emma told Women's Health. "I love being creative, and I never go by a recipe. It focuses my mind."
