Pink Shares Swimsuit Photo in "Love Letter to Chicago"

Here are some of the star’s latest health hacks that helped her become the “strongest” she has been in her life

Pink is living her best life in the Windy City in her bathing suit. In one of her latest social media posts, the singer shows off her incredible body and her love for Chicago, going boating on Lake Michigan with family and friends. "Love letter to Chicago," she captioned the set of Instagram snaps with her millions of followers. How does the mother-of-two keep herself healthy and happy? Here are some of her top health hacks.

1

Hack One: She "Unplugs"

Pink understands the importance of shutting down her gadgets and being one with nature. "In my career, I'm around so many people with so much energy directed at me," she says, "and I also make noise for a living. So it's important for my mental health to unplug and be in nature," she recently told Women's Health.

Hack 2: Be Strong, Not Skinny

Pink doesn't strive to be a size 0. "I like being strong," she told Women's Health. The star trains with Jeanette Jenkins, alternating between cardio HIIT, strength training with bodyweight and dumbbells, yoga, Pilates, cardio kickboxing, cardio sculpting with medium and light weights, and core-specific routines. She claims she is the strongest she's ever been in her life. "I could pick up a car if I needed to," she said.

Hack 3: Spin it Out

Pink loves spinning on her Peloton, not only for the physical benefits but the mental. "Cody Rigsby tells me to get my life together, and I listen," she said. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Hack 4: Take a Break and Reset

Pink recently checked out of life and into a health retreat. "I was probably a bit depressed," she told Women's Health, "and I couldn't lose weight to save my life. I would work out three hours a day, eat clean, and my metabolism was a dud—I couldn't get anything started. And I was like, 'I'm exhausted, I'm sad, I haven't been away from my family for three years—not even overnight. And I just need a minute,'" she told Women's Health, revealing that she went to a two-week program at SHA Wellness Clinic in Alicante, Spain. "It was the longest I've ever been away from my kids, and the biggest gift I've ever given myself," she says. "I did it for me, which in turn would be for them." She added: "I got rest. I wasn't getting rest before. I slept in a bed by myself for the first time in 11 years. I had time to meditate and cry and journal."

Hack 5: Find a Healthy Diet You Like

At SHA, pink discovered the anti-inflammatory Kushi diet, which involves eating a lot of vegetables, beans, and whole grains. She would drink apple cider vinegar mixed with water before every meal but didn't drink while eating. Now that she is home, she still follows a lot of the principles, like having miso soup for breakfast, snacking on string cheese and Pirate's Booty, and eating a lot of fish, salads, and scrambled eggs with spinach.
