Vera Wang Shares Swimsuit Photo Saying "Good Day Sunshine"
Vera Wang is a fashion icon, having cemented herself as one of the top designers in history. She's managed to not age, even into her 70's, and her recent post on Instagram proves it. In it, Wang lay on a deck chair wearing a pink hoodie, red swimsuit, and white bucket hat. She captioned the post, "Good day sunshine." How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Vera Wang stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
She Was Encouraged To Workout
In 2020, Harper's Bazaar asked legends in the fashion industry how they were dealing with quarantine. Wang says that she had people with her that encouraged her to stay active. "Unlike many New Yorkers, I happened to have quarantined in Miami after Paris Fashion Week with my workday fashion family. If you are lucky enough to be with a group of people you know so well and have travelled with so extensively, being restricted can bring so many positive and different nuances to the experience. All of them are extremely fit, which pushed me to 'work out' most days."
She Eats Healthy
Wang makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of her favorite meals in an interview with Harper's Bazaar. "I go through phases with what I eat for lunch," she said. "I like sashimi with brown rice and vegetables, Chinese steamed broccoli with chicken and rice, or the artichoke salad or fish from Sant Ambroeus."
She Only Drinks Water
Wang has cut a few things out of her diet. She tells Harper's Bazaar that she has given up sugary beverages like soda. "I only drink water; I stopped drinking Diet Coke six years ago. That was the hardest thing I ever gave up."
She Appreciates Things
In her Harper's Bazaar quarantine interview, Wang revealed that she learned to appreciate things in life more. "The fact we could speak about life, love, work, priorities, family, even fears made each day a new experience. Forcing ourselves to celebrate each life event from birthdays, anniversaries, holidays such as Easter, even births, and sadly, illnesses, helped me to see the need to treasure these milestones no matter what."
She Keeps Her Skin Moisturized & Protected From The Sun
Wang has amazing skin, and she revealed her secrets, and a favorite product with The Strategist. "All I can say is moisturizing and sunblock are the two most important things," Wang said. "I'm late to making sunscreen part of my daily ritual, but it's an essential for me now. I choose my SPF usually based on where I am. If I'm in Miami or California, I'll go for something stronger, maybe SPF 55. But typically, I like SPF 30. I use RoC's moisturizer with SPF, when I'm in New York because it's protecting my skin, and I'm not allergic to it. My skin has changed so much in recent years that now things I never used to react to irritate it."
