Cheryl's workout of choice is strength training. "Now I go to F45 four times a week," she told NTL. Should you lift weights? Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans

2

The Workout Buddy System

Cheryl relies on the workout buddy system for accountability. For awhile it was her fiancé, Dean, who she recently split with. "In the first year with Dean, we were just eating like animals, we were so comfortable, we thought, 'You're going to love me no matter what!'" she told Now to Love. "At the start of this year, we both decided to get back into the gym and get things under control."

3

Prioritizing Self-Care

Cheryl is all about self-care. One of her methods is taking baths, which have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

4

Hiking and Climbing

Cheryl also gets outside and hikes and goes mountain climbing. "What an incredible experience," she captioned this photo of herself in Switzerland. "Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between," says the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.

5

Jet Skiing

Whenever she is vacationing by the water you can find Cheryl jet skiing. According to Health Fitness Revolution, the average 150-pound rider will burn a surprising 238 calories during a half-hour ride. The sport is also great for cardiovascular endurance.

6

Healthy Eating

Cheryl abides by a healthy diet. For breakfast she eats overnight oats. "I have something like tuna and crackers for lunch, then almonds or fruit for a snack," she told NTL. "At home for dinner, we'll just make some kind of chicken and veggies or salad – we try not to eat carbs in the evening."
