Reality Star Luann de Lesseps Shares Swimsuit Photo of "Last Days of Summer"
Luann de Lesseps ended the summer in her go-to blue bikini. In a new post, the Real Housewives of New York star shows off her incredibly fit figure in a blue bathing suit while boating with a group of friends. "My favorite blue #bikini❤️ & the last days of #summer!" she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. "Hottest bikini girl," commented Melissa Odabash, the designer of the swimsuit. "The Body Beautiful!" added another follower. How does Luann keep her body looking forever young at 58? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle habits.
Muscle Strengthening Workouts
Luann understands the importance of doing muscle strengthening workouts, especially when you are older. "I do weights for the arms because I have to wear these dresses that are sleeveless, and then the legs and then the tummy so I have my routine that I do," she told Life & Style. She starts her circuit 15-minute warmup on the treadmill and then moves on to "arms, leg lifts and abs." She captioned one post of her workout: "Money can't buy you abs. Working out and staying healthy!"
Sobriety
Luann revealed on SiriusXM's Jeff Lewis Live that she put down the bottle. "That was the brainchild of COVID for me and not drinking with my daughter [Victoria de Lesseps] — my daughter doesn't drink either. It's just become a lifestyle for me that is just so much better. I'm happier, I'm healthier, I lost weight," she said.
Yoga
Luann appreciates the body-mind benefits of yoga. "Getting centered post #bravocon," she captioned a post. She even hosts wellness retreats in Tulum, Mexico. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."
A "Holistic" Approach to Health
Luann maintains that she takes a "holistic approach" to her overall health. This involves eating healthy, meditating, and doing yoga. "That's so important to me and it keeps me grounded," she added.
Mediterranean Diet
Luann tries to "stick to a protein-based, Mediterranean diet," she told People in July 2020. The diet is considered one of the healthiest on the planet, focusing mostly on foods native to the area around the Mediterranean Sea. Think olive oil, fresh fish, nuts, fruits, and veggies.
