The Good Doctor Star Antonia Thomas Shares Swimsuit Photo on Fire
Antonia Thomas is burning up social media in her swimsuit. In a recent post the The Good Doctor star shows off her amazing figure in a bathing suit during a day on the beach, eliciting lots of fire emojis from her followers. "Such a beauty," commented one of them. "Wholesome," added another. How does the actress approach health and wellness? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle habits.
Running
Antonia told Women's Health that running is one of her go-to workouts. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. "For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories," they say.
Yoga
Antonia also likes to strike a post. She told Women's Health that she enjoys "vigorous" yoga like vinyasa. Harvard Health supports the health benefits of yoga. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."
Hiking
Hiking is another one of Antonia's favorite ways to break a sweat. "Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between," says the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.
Kayaking
Antonia spends a lot of time in nature on the lake. She loves kayaking. Kayaking is a great workout. Not only is it great for building upper body strength and helps reduce stress, but can burn up to 400 calories per hour, translating to 1,600 calories in four hours of paddling.
Reading
In her recent post, Antonia is reading on the beach in her bathing suit. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.
