Katheryn Winnick is heating up Iceland in her swimsuit. In a social media post the Big Sky and Vikings star shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit while soaking in the hot springs at The Retreat Hotel at The Blue Lagoon. "Back to my Viking's homeland… Hello Iceland. You are beautiful," she captioned the Instagram post. "Beautiful," commented one of her followers. "You look great," added another. How does the 45-year-old look half her age? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle habits.
Kickboxing
Katheryn loves kickboxing. "It focuses your mind, and you have fun working out, so you don't necessarily realize you're working up a sweat," she told Women's Health. Harvard Health maintains that boxing is a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance, and helps increase alertness.
Gluten-Free Diet
Katheryn avoids all gluten. "I'm gluten-free and it's hard for me to find healthy gluten-free bars that actually taste good," she told Women's Health. For a healthy snack, she opts for Kind Almond & Coconut Bars.
Hydration
"Water, water, water, water," she added to New Beauty about how she takes care of her skin. I drink a lot of water at room temperature and I pretty much chug it at once versus sipping. It's important to stay hydrated all the time." She added to Women's Health that she loves coconut water. "I feel like it hydrates you really well. I like the one in the big can—it's organic and doesn't have too much sugar."
Meditating on Hikes
Big Sky is shot in New Mexico, where Katheryn can connect with nature. "It's a way to really reset," she explains. "I try to stay near a trail or hike so I can just get out there be with nature and just meditate. I do a lot of meditations with different healers. You have to keep your mind positive and strong, especially under crazy work conditions."
Nightly Baths
Katheryn soaks in the tub nightly. "I take a bath every night no matter what time I get home. It also teaches my body that it's time for bed. The hot water ensures I don't take a long bath and it's a great way to steam and help take off my makeup, even if it's just for five to 10 minutes," she told New Beauty. How can baths do your body and mind good? They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.
Cardio
How does Katheryn work out while she is filming? "I hop on my Peloton bike, which I absolutely love, or I'll do the elliptical," she told New Beauty.
