Radhika Seth Shares Swimsuit Photo of Where She's Traveled
Radhika Seth is revealing all the places she has traveled in her swimsuit. In a recent social media Q & A, the actress was asked by one of her followers where in the world she has visited. In her response she shared images of some of the many locations, including the Maldives, Spain, USA, and Egypt. And, in a few of them, she looked amazing in her bathing suit. How does the Indian star approach health and wellness? Celebwell rounded up some of her top lifestyle habits.
Snorkeling
When Radhika travels to tropical locations, she stays in shape and explores the ocean by snorkeling and free diving. "Forever chasing turtles," she captioned a recent post. "Free diving with nurse sharks and sting rays," she added in another. Putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.
Exercise
Radhika is devoted to exercise and shares clips from her sessions on social media. "Missing my workout days," she captioned a recent video of her ab and glute workout. Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
Stretching
Radhika understands the importance of prepping her body for exercise. In one post she reminded her followers, "but first stretch." Why should you take the time to stretch? "Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints," says Harvard Health. "Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage."
Jet Skiing
Another way Radhika loves to burn calories while on vacation is by jet skiing. "Mentally on a jet ski," she captioned a post. According to Health Fitness Revolution, the average 150-pound rider will burn a surprising 238 calories during a half-hour ride. The sport is also great for cardiovascular endurance.
Hiking
Radhika loves hiking, "one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between," says the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.
Hydrating
Radhika makes sure to keep her body hydrated with plenty of fluids. "Thirstyyyy," she captioned this post. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine men should drink about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day and women about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids.
Skiing
Radhika is also a fan of snow skiing, which has been linked to so many health benefits by research. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress and the occurrence of memory deficits declines.
