Jessica Biel in Workout Gear Says "Happy Birthday, Babe" To Justin Timberlake

Happy birthday, JT!

Jessica Biel is wishing husband Justin Timberlake a very sweet happy 43rd birthday on social media. Biel, 41, posted an Instagram video reel of herself and Timberlake sharing sweet moments together, including one of them in exercise clothing, working out as a duo. Or at least, Biel was working out, Timberlake was doing a silly dance. "I ALWAYS got you. Happy birthday, babe," she captioned the post. Here's how Biel approaches wellness and fitness in her 40s.

1

Boring Is Good

Biel's wellness routine is what she calls "boring"—which means it's straightforward and, more importantly, it works for her. "For me, getting enough sleep, drinking lots of water, having a healthy diet, and staying away from alcohol are musts. It's so boring, I know, but doing those things really helps," she told ELLE.

Growing Her Own Produce

Biel makes salads from vegetables she grows herself. "We have a beautiful garden and go out all of the time, every couple of days, pick spinach and pick radishes and things and throw them together in a salad and it's wonderful," she told the Los Angeles Times. "That's probably one of the coolest things I think about living in California is that we can really grow all year long. If I'm home for lunch, I run out to the garden and grab some leaves and throw together a quick salad, maybe throw some quinoa in there or something."

No Wheat, No Dairy

Biel enjoys a wheat and dairy-free diet. "I like these veggie burgers that you can get from Whole Foods or Erewhon and you can grill it up and throw it on top with some nuts… and then some kind of snack during the day – maybe gluten-free pretzels with this really yummy almond cheese dip," she told the Los Angeles Times. "It almost tastes like cream cheese, but no dairy. And then dinner, if we're home, it would be cooking up some salmon, some rice, grilling some vegetables, or going out and having some chicken, something a little heartier for dinner. That would be a normal day for me."

Killer Abs

Biel posted a video of her ab routine on social media, using a medicine ball to do mat exercises. "Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities," says the Mayo Clinic. "When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes. Strong core muscles help athletes, such as runners. That's because weak core muscles can lead to more fatigue, less endurance and injuries."

5

Yoga and Volleyball

Biel has basic workouts that keep her going. "Yoga is a constant for me because it keeps my muscles long and flexible," she told ELLE. "But now that summer's coming around, I'm planning on spending more time outdoors playing volleyball and jogging with my dog, Tina."
