She Adds Protein Powder To Foods
Sims opened up about her diet in an interview with Parade. She says that one way she adds protein into her diet is putting powder in her food and drinks. "I add Isopure whey protein to my coffee," Sims says. "I'll also add it to an egg white recipe and I made banana blueberry muffins with vanilla icing [with it]. It's not chalky, so you don't taste it, and I'll also add it to a smoothie with blueberries and dates and almond milk, flax seeds and chia seeds."
She Limits Carbs At The End Of The Day
In her Parade interview, Sims says that while she doesn't completely limit her carbs, she does stop eating them at a certain point in the day. "I have to watch carbs around 4 p.m.," Sims said. "There's nothing better than a Nut-Thin cracker with hummus, but even though those are gluten-free, they're also a lot of carbs, so I'm better off doing a smoothie or coffee or English Breakfast tea and adding a little protein powder."
She Doesn't Weigh Herself
Sims shared her wellness secrets in an interview with HollywoodLife. She says that she used to have body dysmorphia, and has stopped weighing herself. "I think my mindset, now that I have kids, is just different. I use my jeans. I don't weigh myself. I know that I'm not good with a number on a scale, but I am good with a pair of jeans or a pair of pants or a dress, to know my body and where I am."
She Loves Salads
Sims shared her favorite healthy meals in an interview with Women's Health. She says that she loves salads for lunch. "I'll do either a salmon salad with butter lettuce or mesclun greens and black olives plus, sweet potatoes for heartiness and roasted almonds for crunch," Sims revealed. "I love a hearty salad. I do a mustard dressing with Dijon mustard, white wine vinegar, oil, and salt and pepper to taste. It's delicious."
She Does A Variety Of Workouts
Sims shared some of her favorite workouts in her HollywoodLife interview. She says that she likes to do a variety of exercises. "I do pilates, I do hot yoga, all to strengthen the core and get lean and long. I love Megan Roupe's Sculpt Society, I love hot pilates with Shannon Nadj. I think my body does better when I do different things."
