Eva Longoria in Workout Gear Says "February Flew By"

Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Eva Longoria is playing racquet sports – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the Desperate Housewives alum shows off her amazing body while on the courts. "February flew by!" she captioned a series of Instagram snaps, including one of herself holding a paddle with her pals. How does the star maintain her fit physique? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1

Padel

Eva enjoys racquet sports, including padel. Jorge Rodriguez, Juan Lebron's padel coach, explains that there are several reasons why padel is a great workout. "One of the many objectives that we seek to achieve through participating in sport is to improve general muscle tone, and playing padel even helps tone the muscles in the face, because you will not stop smiling. It also improves our coordination, mobility and reflexes," he writes for racquet brand Babolat. Padel, which is basically a fusion of tennis, badminton, and squash, is also a great workout for the glutes, "and all the muscles we use in the arms, making our posture firmer." It can burn between 700 and 1000 calories and helps strengthen your heart and improve other aspects of your health.

Daily Workouts for Her "Mental Health"

"I work out five, six times a week, but my workouts are my mental health hour. I really need that energy and endorphins in the morning to really function throughout the day. So I love that it obviously has great side effects of being in shape, but for me it really clears my mind and I'm a better mom, and I'm a better businesswoman, and I'm a better wife because I get those endorphins first thing in the morning," she told Reader's Digest's The Healthy.

Trampoline Workouts

Eva loves jumping on the trampoline. She "started coming out of postpartum with bouncing. I love my trampoline workouts because it's high-intensity but low-impact, and I don't have the best knees," she told The Healthy. "Bouncing on the trampoline was amazing. And it's also great for your mind. It's a lot of mental gymnastics as well with sequencing, and memorization, and it's like a dance routine, and so it's creative. I mean, it was really servicing everything I was looking for at the time."

4

Weight Lifting

Eva also weight trains, viewing it as a "supplement" to her jumping. "I do a lot of weight training with my trainer," she said.

5

Meditation

Eva explains that "meditating" is another crucial health habit. "It's just lifesaving, and I only do it five minutes a day. It's not like I do an hour of meditation. No, sometimes I do it two minutes … but I do it," she told The Healthy. "It grounds you in your day. I do all these guided meditations."

Different Workouts

"I do a lot. I'm a runner, I do yoga, I do pilates, I do SoulCycle and I'm just constantly mixing it up," she told People

7

(Mostly) Plant-Based Diet

Eva's diet is primarily plant-based. "After I run, I eat probably the same thing every morning, which is egg whites with spinach and turkey bacon," she dished to The Cut. "I could easily be a vegetarian because I love vegetables so much and I feel like L.A. is a place that can support healthy living," she added to InStyle. "I love cooking with vegetables and I have a secret for cooking with vegetables, [which] is that they don't need a lot. A lot of people cover them in cheese or cover them in a sauce, and vegetables really only need olive oil."
