Victoria Silvstedt in Workout Gear Does the Gyrotonic Method
Victoria Silvstedt is getting her sweat on – with a personal trainer. In a few new social media posts the influencer and model shows off her amazing body and flexibility during a gyrotonic workout session. "Back at it," she captioned one of the Instagram Stories. How does the 49-year-old keep herself in such great shape? Here is everything you need to know about her approach to diet and fitness.
She Follows the Mediterranean Diet
"First of all I love to eat. I am not your green juices 24/7 kind of girl," Victoria dished to Arabian Moda about her diet. "I must have a dessert everyday and especially chocolate. And what is a night like without a glass of wine? However, I try to avoid eating carbs and especially before a photo-shoot. I also try to limit my amount of red meat intake. I guess you can describe my diet as a Mediterranean, wholesome and vegetable-based diet."
She Takes Supplements
Victoria is a fan of supplements. "So many people ask me how I stay healthy and in shape…my secret is taking this cell-enhancing anti-again total balance women's Premium for 10 years," she revealed in a recent Instagram post.
She Enjoys Yoga, Pilates, and Running
"I love working out outdoors like doing some yoga and pilates every now and then. I prefer to go running outside rather than to workout at the gym," Victoria told Arabian Moda. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
She Sleeps
Victoria understands the importance of rest. "Good sleep is the best," she told Fans Share. The Sleep Foundation maintains that sleep is a mood booster, promotes heart health, regulates blood sugar, improves mental function, restores your immune system, helps relieve stress, and aids in weight loss.
She Has Healthy Morning Habits
Victoria starts the day with a few healthy habits. "Also when I wake up I drink a glass of warm water with squeezed lemon and a little later I eat a good breakfast of fruit, yogurt, muesli," she added.
She Does the Gyrotonic Method
As can be evidenced from her latest posts, Victoria is a fan of gyrotonics. According to the Gyrotonic Method website, it is "an original and unique movement method that addresses the entire person by opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and improving strength and movement efficiency" With Gyrotonic exercises, "each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. These carefully crafted sequences create balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility."
