Lexi Wood is hitting the Alo gym in her workout gear. In a new social media post the model shows off her Pilates move in a two-piece Alo exercise set. "Getting in some movement with @alo & @rebekahbsantiago," she captioned the post. How does the influencer stay fit? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

In Lexi's video she does a Pilates workout on the reformer with trainer Rebekah Santiago. Pilates "strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health," says the Mayo Clinic. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Strength and Weight Training

In another workout at the Alo gym, Lexi does a strength and weight training workout. It includes exercises like weighted lunges, plank pull-ins, and kettlebell squats. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

Coffee

Lexi is a coffee drinker. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. "It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function," they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Reading

Lexi reads in the morning. In one post she explains, "my morning routine is everything to me," and reveals that books are part of her ritual. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

Cold Plunge

Lexi ends her workouts on a cold note. In one of her videos, she takes a cold plunge. There is limited research supporting the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increased focus, improved sleep, and decreased inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes basic post-sport recovery.
