Hernan is all about working hard. "When you're a woman, it's even more difficult," Hernan said to The Patriot Ledger. "I've been laughed out of meetings my whole life so it's really important for me to show people what I can do and what can be accomplished if you work really hard. My company is 100% woman-owned. I've gotten many, many offers from people looking to invest in the business. I've turned them all down, though, because I want to do this my way."
She Swims
As you can see from her recent post, Hernan loves to swim to stay fit. The Mayo Clinic states that spending time in the water has a lot of benefits. "Aquatic exercise can have many health benefits, such as improved heart health, reduced stress, and improved muscular endurance and strength. Exercising in the water can be a great way to add physical activity into your life. It also may be a helpful way for older adults to stay active. You can even do aquatic exercise if you don't know how to swim. Aquatic exercise also can improve joint use and lessen pain if you have osteoarthritis."
