Food Allergies

Pauley discussed her strict diet with Gluten Free & More. āI actually eat very few things,ā she said, revealing that she has lots of food allergies. āIām allergic to onions and almost all herbs ā such as dill, rosemary, basil ā pretty much across the board.ā
No Sugar

Pauley cut out sugar a few years ago. āI gave it up for Lent one year, felt great with lots of energy, and decided to do it again the following year. After the second time, I said, you know what? Iām done with sugar. I donāt use sugar substitutes, either,ā she said.Ā
Kickboxing

Pauley is a kickboxing enthusiast. Harvard Health maintains that boxing is a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance, and helps increase alertness.Ā
Walking
Pauley spends a lot of time with her dog, who she takes on lots of walks. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
She Survived a āMassive Stroke
Pauley suffered a āmassive strokeā in 2021. āI woke up and had no feeling on the entire right side of my body,ā she told ET. āAt first I thought I had just slept funny. When I kept realizing the extent of the numbness; couldnāt feel my finger touching my face, couldnāt feel my face being touched by my finger, couldnāt feel my laptop sitting on my lap, no feeling at all on the right hand side ā I could have burned myself or cut my finger off and wouldnāt have known ā I called my doctor and he said, āGO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATELY,āā she said. āWalked into the ER and said, āHey, I canāt feel the right hand side of my body andā¦ā BAM! OMG! I was on a gurney with a million things stuck in my arms and a bunch of medical people rushing me somewhere,ā she recalls. āThey know how serious a stroke is and how immediate care is imperative.ā
