She's doing face masks with her boyfriend.

Kristin Cavallari is indulging in self-care – in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the reality star and Uncommon James founder shows off her amazing body while doing face masks with her boyfriend. "Clay mask foreplay," she captioned the Instagram post. What is her approach to diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1

Organic, Unprocessed Food

"I am very health conscious, that's important to me," she told Shape. "I eat a lot of fruit and I definitely eat carbs, healthier carbs." She also eats real food. "I try to eat food as close to its natural state as possible. Not a lot of processed food, but tons of fruits and vegetables, and meat. I try to eat organic as often as possible. I never look at calories or fat or anything. I only read ingredient labels on a package. I won't eat it if it's just full of a bunch of chemicals.

Relaxed Approach to Exercise

Kristin pays attention to what her body needs when it comes to exercise. "I was working out with my trainers three days a week and I actually gained more weight than I wanted to," she told Shape. "It's important to lift weights and I love where my muscle is at now, but I had to back off. We all have to figure out what works for us. I think it's more about listening to your body and also how you feel in your clothes. I don't really like weighing myself. I will from time to time just to check-in. But for the most part, [I measure my fitness] more just on how I feel and how I feel in my jeans."

No Fad Diets

Kristin tries to stay away from fad diets, especially keto and intermittent fasting. "Nothing messed up my metabolism more than doing those two things together," she said on her podcast Let's Be Honest. "Only in the last few years I have finally stabilized. I think those things mess up your body so much. It's shocking to your body. I was afraid to eat a carrot! It's insane. I think diets are garbage — all of them."

Gut Health

Cavallari works with L.A.-based functional medicine doctor Ryan Monohan, who helps her with gut health. "I had small intestinal bacteria, so I wasn't absorbing any nutrients," she explains. "Here I was taking all these vitamins, and it was a waste of time and energy. So for the last two years, we've been getting my gut back to where it needs to be, and now we're adding in all the antioxidants and stuff like that. So I'm very hesitant to recommend any supplements to people because of that. It's not one size fits all."

5

Sweet Tooth

Kristin satiates her sweet tooth. "I definitely have a sweet tooth and usually have a piece of dark chocolate after dinner," she told Shape. "So I mean, I'm not super strict. If I go out to eat I'll get dessert, just not every night."
