How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Tanya Poppett stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1

She Strength Trains

As you can see from her recent post, Poppett likes to strength train to stay in shape. She also shared this strength training workout on Instagram. Poppett captioned the post, "COMPLETE 6 REPS FOR 6 ROUNDS. All you need is 2 HEAVY dumbbells for these 5 exercises for a full body workout. This was my weekend workout… when I didn't want to do conditioning but also didn't want to strength. So I made it fun with some combos and met myself somewhere in the middle 😄"

She Does Bodyweight Workout

Poppett doesn't always need equipment to workout. She shared some of her favorite bodyweight workouts in this Instagram post. Poppett captioned the post, "BODYWEIGHT CIRCUIT💪🏻 A fun, energizing circuit for anyone on the road or moving at home without equipment. Bodyweight sessions like this have helped with my coordination so much over the years. They will always be my favourite 🙌🏻Details: 40s Work. 20s Rest. 4 rounds. ✖️Get Up Lunge Switch. ✖️W Bridge March. ✖️Squat Pulse Rotation. ✖️HR Climber Push-Up. ✖️Hollow Dead Bug."

She Does Core Workouts

Poppett has amazing abs, and she makes sure to do core workouts. She shared her favorites in this Instagram post, captioning it, "CORE CONDITIONING 💃Weaving some core work into my conditioning workout on the weekend. I've noticed tend to lose my connection to my core when I'm fatigued – so thought I'd work on it in a little more controlled environment. Details: 30s work. 15s rest. 6 rounds. ✖️Alternating Single Ski Swings. ✖️Halo Curls. ✖️Alternating Clusters. ✖️Lateral Lunge Rows. ✖️Push-Up Bear Drag."

4

She's Consistent

Poppett makes sure to be consistent with her workouts. However, she doesn't view consistency like doing workouts everyday perfectly. She views it as showing up when she's able to. Poppett talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. "REFRAME THE WAY YOU VIEW 'CONSISTENCY.' You don't need to be 'perfect' in order to be consistent. Show up when you can, however you can, for as long as you can."

5

She Wants To Set A Good Example

Poppett has two kids, and she wants to set a good example for them. She revealed in this Instagram post's caption that this is why she works out so much. "Every time I come back after my workouts and see my kids smiling faces I know that we are BOTH better for it. They get some time without me and I get time to do something for myself. I could rattle off all the amazing benefits we get from exercise… but we already know them all. Mums don't need to be made to feel guilty for skipping workouts or not making time to exercise. We need to learn to overcome the guilt that can holds us back from getting them done in the first place."
