Cabello recently released her third solo album and unveiled an edgier new look. Her hit songs include, "Havana," "Bom Bom," and "Crying In The Club." Cabello's trainer, Diana Maux, shared a video on Instagram of the singer working out. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Camila Cabello stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
She Strength Trains
In the Instagram video, Cabello is seen using weights. Strength training has a lot of benefits. The Mayo Clinic reports, "Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age."
She Does Squats
In the Instagram video, Cabello is seen doing squats. According to Piedmont, these are an extremely effective exercise. "Squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back. A squat has more overall benefits than, say, a bicep curl, which strengthens an isolated area."
She Does TRX
Cabello is seen doing exercises with TRX cables in the Instagram video. According to ACE Fitness, these are great workouts. "TRX Suspension Training is a good alternative to traditional exercise modalities. It elicits metabolic responses that meet guidelines for improving and maintaining cardiorespiratory fitness, improves muscular fitness and positively impacts cardiovascular disease risk factors."
She Works With A Trainer
Cabello works with a personal trainer to help her stay in shape. According to ACE Fitness, personal trainers can help people not get injured when working out. "If you are new to exercise or find that some movements are painful, it is worth hiring a trainer to be certain that you are moving in a safe and effective way. Taking the time to learn proper exercise technique can improve your results and prevent annoying injuries."
She Gets Enough Sleep
Cabello makes sure to get enough sleep each night. "Circadian rhythm is a real thing," she says to Glamour. "I try to not go to sleep after 10:30. When I go to sleep later than midnight, I tend to get worse quality sleep, even if I sleep the same amount. When I can't sleep, I will put on a cooking podcast called Home Cooking. Something neutral that engages me but also doesn't make me emotional, so I can get tired again and go back to sleep if I want to. There's also Poetry Unbound, which reads a poem and dissects it. The host is incredible."
