According to the Sleep Foundation, getting enough z's is a mood booster, promotes heart health, regulates blood sugar, improves mental function, restores your immune system, helps relieve stress, and aids in weight loss.
Surfing
Patton enjoys surfing."First attempt at surfing – I'll get up next time 😉…to be continued," she captioned this Instagram post. According to the Australian government's Better Health, surfing provides many health benefits including cardiovascular fitness from paddling, shoulder and back strength, which also strengthens from the paddling, and leg and core strength. "Once you're standing up on the board, strong legs and a strong core will keep you up," they say.
Horses
Patton started equestrian training for her role in Warcraft. "Keep in mind, you are speaking to someone who only rode horses on vacation, like guided horses. Live action horseback riding is a whole other experience. LOL With all this activity I was showering like 2-3 times a day," she told Monarch Magazine. The American Heart Association states that riding can help with core muscles. "Sitting tall, pushing your legs into the body of your horse ignites the core muscles, which are imperative for balance and posture."
