9-1-1: Lone Star's Natacha Karam in Two-Piece Workout Gear Says Hi From Tulum
Natacha Karam is heating up Mexico – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the 9-1-1: Lone Star actress shows off her fit figure in a two-piece workout set while vacationing in the tropics. "Tachee in Tulum Pt 2 🌴," she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Boxing
Natacha spends a lot of time throwing punches at L.A.'s Wild Card Boxing Club. Her gym bag "always" has her Winning brand gloves and "like, 600 elastics," she told Us. "When I'm boxing, my hair falls down. I've got loads of hair, so I put 10 elastic bands in my hair to try to keep it up in a bun," she added. "I'm still here doing what I do. Remembering how winning is done," she captioned a post of herself sparring. Harvard Health maintains that boxing is a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance, and helps increase alertness.
Hiking
Natacha is also a hiker. "Golden Hour ☀️," she captioned a post. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
- Building stronger muscles and bones
- Improving your sense of balance
- Improving your heart health
- Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
Walking
Natacha walks her dog – responsibly. "There's always poo bags for my dog — the most fun ones I can find. Right now they're purple with polka dots on them," she told Us. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
Roller Skating
Natacha learned how to roller skate for an episode of the show. "My body is naturally imbalanced with how I was born. Skating requires a lot of balance and some good knees. Bad combo for me. But with my amazing coach and many hours both pleasant and unpleasant I really reinforced the lesson that most of it is about mindset, commitment, and heart," she wrote in a post.
Hydration
She also keeps "an Evian water bottle," in her bag at all times, she told Us. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
