How LPGA Pro Alison Lee Stays Fit and Focused On and Off the Course

Alison Lee shares her fitness routine and lifestyle habits that keep her at the top of her game.

The pro golfer, Alison Lee, posted a series of photos of life "lately." The LPGA Tour's golf schedule and training keeps her quite busy these days, but she still takes the time with her friends. What does Lee do to stay in great shape? We did some research.

1

She plays golf

Of course it should come as no surprise that golf is a big part of her workout. "The @usga really knows how to run a tournament and kick my butt," she said on Instagram. She gets to try out various courts, as well, as seen on Instagram. "Such a treat to be able to have an event at one of my favorite courses in the city I call home. Shadow creek got the best of me this week, but already can't wait for next year! Thank you @mgmrewards and @tmobile for hosting such a great event! @lpgamatchplay," she said.

2

She stays motivated

Staying motivated and setting goals can help you build the mental strength needed to push through the challenges you'll inevitably take. "Probably some of the toughest conditions I've ever played in this weekend. But still a treat to be able to compete in Southern California in front of friends and family. I love you guys❤️," she said on Instagram.

She takes walks on the beach

She spends time outside, near the ocean, while taking a walk. According to the Cleveland Clinic, "research shows that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day leads to long-term health benefits, including a reduced risk for heart disease. They go on to say, "We already have an abundance of evidence showing that aerobic activity can significantly improve our cardiovascular risk factors, which typically include cholesterol reduction, weight management, blood pressure reduction, as well as even glucose or blood sugar control," says cardiologist Tamanna Singh, MD.

4

She loves to ski

She also enjoys winter sports like skiing, as seen in this photo captioned, "skiing in Japan," on Instagram. According to the Canadian Ski Council, "skiing and snowboarding benefits cardiovascular health, overall fitness, strength, coordination, balance and more. Regardless of your health and fitness goals, strapping on a pair of skis or a snowboard is sure to fulfill some of them. Due to the versatility of skiing and snowboarding, it can encompass the benefits of a cardio workout, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session, and strength training session, all in one fun activity."

She's always open to learning more

She recognizes that there are always ways to improve. "Finishing up my 9th season on the @lpga_tour and I'm still learning every day. These last few events have been an incredible experience. It's been so fun battling it out with these girls and putting myself in contention. Still looking for that first W, but I'm not going to lose hope. Thanks to my whole team and everyone who believed in me," she said on Instagram.
