Eden works out often. "Fitness is something that I make a priority, even if it seems like there's not enough time in a busy day or if I don't feel like it," she told Soap Hub. "If I go more than a couple of days without exercise I notice it in my mood, and it isn't good, so that motivates me."

Volleyball

Eden loves beach volleyball. "I try and get to the beach at least twice during the week plus one weekend day for a volleyball workout or scrimmage," she told the publication, adding that she trains "regularly on the sand for volleyball three times a week and tournaments every weekend with the same group and coaches." According to one study, recreational volleyball played with fewer players on a smaller court can be an effective training modality to stimulate decrease in LDL cholesterol and resting HR.

Running

"If I'm really pressed for time, I'll just jog for 20-25 minutes in my neighborhood," Eden told Soap Hub. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. "For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories," they say.

Cheat Meals

Eden maintains a healthy diet…most of the time. "I cheat a little bit every day! I have a real weakness for junk food and I can't resist a good donut," she said.

Hydration

When Eden cheats she tries to "balance it out" by drinking "a ton" of water. "My mom bought me a giant 64 oz colorful water jug that I carry with me everywhere, and I actually refill it and drink between 2 and 3 of those a day," she said. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

Hiking

On her recent trip, Eden took a hike – one of her favorite outdoor activities. "I'm lucky to live near cool places to hike," she told Soap Hub. "I hike at Runyon Canyon or the trails around Lake Hollywood," she added to Soap Hub. My leg muscles really benefit from hiking, because it's a different movement than when I'm playing beach volleyball. I can really feel it on the days after I hike!" According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
