ESPN Host Molly Qerim in Two-Piece Workout Gear Enjoys "Tennis Szn"

Discover her fitness routine, healthy eating habits, and wellness approach.

Molly Qerim, one of the hosts on ESPN, is passionate about both sports and wellness. A few weeks ago, she shared photos of herself on the tennis court, captioning the post, "Tennis szn." Beyond her love for tennis, Qerim maintains a healthy lifestyle that includes a Mediterranean-based diet, regular morning workouts, and mindful wellness habits due to her battle with endometriosis. From boxing to squats, her fitness routine helps her stay in shape, while her focus on self-care keeps her energized for her demanding on-air role.

She Eats Healthy

Qerim makes sure to eat a healthy diet. She talked about this in an interview with Endo Found. "I very rarely drink alcohol. I will have a splash of prosecco for celebratory occasions, but pretty much no alcohol and no sugar. I am up at 5 a.m., so I have not been able to entirely cut out caffeine. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy going out to eat. I am a total foodie, but I try to eat at home. I grew up on a very Mediterranean diet, and that goes hand-in-hand with also being anti-inflammatory, like a lot of fruits, vegetables, meats, and lots of unprocessed foods."

She's Consistent With Wellness

Qerim has endometriosis and that means she has to be consistent with her habits. "I have to really be diligent about getting my sleep, getting eight hours a night, limiting alcohol and sugar, getting acupuncture once a week," she told Endo Found. "Exercising, meditation. I really implement all of that to keep the inflammation down and keep me feeling like I can be 'on' all the time. The [on-air] light comes on, and I need to be on. When you're on morning television, people want to see happy, positive people, and my job is 24/7. So in my offtime, it became more about taking care of myself, than maybe other things I would normally do on the weekends. There are times when I can't leave the house all weekend. Or, I come to work and then it's straight to bed after work. It's the ebb and flow of having a chronic illness. It can be frustrating at times because you'll feel really good for a while, and then it hits and its like, 'Ugh! You're back.' So it's kind of like your body is naturally keeping you in check at all times. It has almost become a second job."

She Works Out In The Morning

Qerim makes sure to workout on a regular basis. Since she has a busy schedule, she has to do her exercises in the mornings. Qerim shared this set of photos on Instagram, and talked about her workout schedule in the caption. "How much better is your day when you workout in the am!?!?! Game changer."

She Boxes

Qerim likes to box to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself sparring in the gym. Qerim captioned the post, "Who's trying to get back in shape for summer?!?! Fav workouts? How about clean eating tips? Because your girl can eat 😋"

She Does Squats

Qerim also enjoys doing squats to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing squats with a weighted ball. Allina Health reports that squats have a lot of benefits. "The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong."
