Weightlifter Katherine Vibert in Two-Piece Workout Gear Says "The Show Must Go On"

Davis stays fit with weightlifting, hiking, and healthy eating habits.

Katherine Vibert, also known as Kate Vibert Davis, is a weightlifter who earned silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Recently, she shared a glimpse of her gym session on Instagram, showing her dedication to maintaining her strength. In a candid caption, she joked, "Too many people at work ask if I still lift and it's embarrassing to say no so the show must go on." From her intense weightlifting sessions to her love of hiking and enjoying nutritious foods like bananas and eggs, Vibert exemplifies a balanced approach to fitness and health. Her commitment to staying strong keeps her pushing forward, both in and out of competition.

1

She Lifts Weights

Weightlifting is the main way Vibert stays fit. She shares a lot of videos of herself doing this on Instagram. ACE Fitness states that using weights has a lot of benefits. "Using heavy weights increases intramuscular coordination, the number of type II motor units and the amount of muscle fibers engaged within a specific muscle. Have you ever felt your muscles shaking while lifting heavy weights? This is because you are recruiting and activating the larger type II muscle fibers, which are only stimulated to work when a muscle is challenged with heavy resistance or working to fatigue."

2

She Does Squats

Vibert likes to do squats to stay in shape. Squats are also one of the exercises she does with weights. Vibert shared this video of herself doing squats with a barbell on Instagram. She captioned the post, "All I do is take my lil walk and do some heavy squats at the gym and I think that's pretty cool 🫡"

She Hikes

Vibert is a newlywed, and she went on her honeymoon in September. One thing the couple did was go for hikes. Vibert shared these highlights of herself and her husband hiking by a waterfall on Instagram. Piedmont reports that hiking has a lot of health benefits. "Going up and down hills gets the heart pumping, creating a great cardio workout. Like most cardio exercises, hiking helps reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and even some cancers."

Vibert shared some of her favorite foods in this TikTok. She is seen enjoying a sliced up banana. The Cleveland Clinic reports that bananas have a lot of health benefits. "With 3 grams (g) of fiber, a banana supplies nearly 10% of what you need in a day, based on a 2,000-calorie daily diet, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) dietary guidelines. You hear 'fiber' and probably automatically think of digestion. It's true — fiber is great for your gut. It helps keep things moving in your intestines, and most of us probably need to eat more."

She Loves Eggs

Vibert is also seen enjoying scrambled eggs with hot sauce in her TikTok. Eggs have a lot of benefits, according to The American Heart Association. "At just 78 calories each, eggs are an efficient, rich source of protein and vitamins. A large egg contains about 6 grams of protein. Eggs also are a good source of other nutrients, including vitamin D (which aids bone health and the immune system) and choline (which helps metabolism and liver function, as well as fetal brain development)."
