Her diet follows an 80/20 rule, focusing on vegetables, healthy fats, and balanced blood sugar levels. Through her dedication to both sport and self-care, Rawson inspires fans to embrace a holistic and enjoyable approach to fitness.
She Golfs
Golf is the main thing that keeps Rawson in shape. Better Health states, "Golf can be good for your health and your heart. Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you'll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you'll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more."
She Challenges Herself
Rawson shared her wellness secrets with Women Fitness. She says that she likes to challenge herself, and this is why she took up golf. "Sports were everything in my childhood! I tried and played everything! From gymnastics to surf lifesaving I was lucky to get exposed to many sports. I was naturally good at most sports, so it gave me a lot of confidence! My Dad encouraged me to take up golf and I was also motivated by my older brothers' cute friends that played!! I found it very difficult in the beginning and it was not until I got professional instruction that I was able to hit the ball! I really enjoyed the challenge."
She Eats Healthy
Rawson broke down her diet with Women Fitness. "I now tend to eat many more vegetables and good fats," she said. "I am less concerned with protein. When I was pregnant I had gestational diabetes so I couldn't have any sugar. It was the most amazing thing because I couldn't care less about sugar now and I learned a lot about keeping my blood sugar balanced. I really think that's the key to feeling great. I follow the 80/20 rule as I don't think depriving yourself is good either!"
She Does A Variety Of Workouts
Rawson does a variety of things to keep herself in shape. She shared her favorites with Women Fitness. "Every day I do some form of exercise," she said. "Even if it's walking to the coffee shop 1 mile away. I do pilates 3x a week and try to do yoga twice! I also play golf at least 3 times a week! I love to move! It makes me feel good."
She Uses Proper Workout Technique
When it comes to fitness, Rawson makes sure to do exercises properly. "When I go to classes, I see so many people doing exercises without correct form, or using a weight which is too heavy," she told Women Fitness. "Don't be guilted by the instructor. I always use the lightest weight and probably do the least reps, but I make sure I am doing each exercise with the best form, so I work the correct muscles and don't get injured!"
