'1923's Helen Mirren to Co-Star with Kate Winslet in New Netflix Drama

Fans just can't get enough of 1923 star Helen Mirren—and for good reason. The actress keeps us all on our toes as we anxiously anticipate what will happen next at the Dutton homestead. Well, get excited, because we'll be seeing even more of Helen Mirren on screen. The actress is joining Kate Winslet for a new contemporary drama on Netflix called Goodbye June.
What We Know About Goodbye June

Goodbye June is described by Netflix as a "touching, yet humorous" film that centers around broken siblings who join forces under a trying situation. It will take place in England, present-day.
In addition to starring in the film, Winslet will be directing and producing it with Kate Solomon, according to Variety. Winslet's son, Joe Anders, and her ex-husband, Sam Mendes, created the screenplay.
Production will kick off later in 2025.
Meet the Cast of Goodbye June
Although many details about Goodbye June are still hush-hush, we do know some of the confirmed cast members: Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren, Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough, and Timothy Spall.
This Isn't Kate Winslet and Helen Mirren's First Project Together
Winslet and Mirren starred in Collateral Beauty together back in 2016, a film about advertising exec Howard Inlet (played by Will Smith) who endures an unspeakable tragedy and distances himself from the world. He tries to make sense of his pain by penning letters to Love, Time, and Death.
Along with that, it seems like Winslet has nothing but great things to say about working with Mirren.
"You could sit and talk about anything with Helen, for hours," Winslet told Vanity Fair in a 2016 interview. "Anything from boobs to boys, work, to what we were going to drink at cocktail hour. And we would all sit and run our lines together. Which is all you ever hope for on set. She is everyone's friend."
