Country Diva Kelsea Ballerini Shares Her Morning Routine

The singer loves making smoothies.

Kelsea Ballerini has been in the public eye for about ten years, when her debut album, The First Time, was released in 2015. She’s established herself as one of the queens of country music. Songs like “Hole In The Bottle”, “Miss Me More”, and “Peter Pan” have topped the charts. Kelsea has a busy schedule, but she always makes time to do certain things in the morning. From smoothies to hair care, here are 5 of the singer’s secrets.

She Makes This For Breakfast

Kelsea shared her go-to breakfast in an interview with EatingWell. “I’ll make a smoothie, just a green smoothie, and add coconut water. If I don’t have that, I’ve been trying to add a lot more protein into my diet, so I’ll either do cottage cheese with an orange and some honey, or egg whites and veggies.”

She Keeps Her Mornings Slow

Since Kelsea’s days can get busy, she likes taking things slow in the mornings. “I really love a slow morning,” she tells EatingWell. “It’s a luxury, but [I love when] I can have that hour to really just enter into the day slowly. I’m a Virgo, so I make to-do lists like it’s no one’s business. That’s my ideal morning—and then a seven- or eight-step skin-care routine.”

She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Kelsea shared some of her skincare tips with Byrdie. “I’m using tinted sunscreen and brushing up my brows with whatever’s around. CoverGirl just released these TruBlend Skin Enhancer Balms for contouring, highlighting, and blush—they’re super creamy. I like to use them on top of my SPF. Then, I line my lips, put on a gloss, and add a couple of freckles if I’m feeling spicy.”

She Does Pilates

In her EatingWell interview, Kelsea revealed that she loves doing Pilates workouts in the mornings. According to The Cleveland Clinic, Pilates is very beneficial. “Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look.”

She Loves Coffee

Kelsea loves starting her day off with a cup of coffee, especially on tour. The singer told TODAY.com that she loves vanilla lattes in particular. “I have to make sure I get enough protein, enough caffeine, the nights are longer,” she says. “I have to make sure that I’m moving my body enough to work on my breath support for my stage show.”
