Don’t forget your sunscreen!!” Read on to learn 5 of Brooke Shields diet, exercise, and skincare secrets.

1

She Uses Inversion Boots

Brooke shared some of her favorite workouts with Health, as reported by Good Housekeeping. “I’ve just started hanging upside down in inversion boots, doing hamstring pulls and sit-ups. I’m amazed at how great it feels on my back. I’ll just hang there and then start doing a whole series of crunches and things like that. It’s really hard, but it’s really great, and I notice a difference.”

2

She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Brooke has amazing skin, and she makes taking care of it a priorite. “We don’t really think of our skin as an organ, but it is the largest organ of the body,” she says to Glamour. “So as I got older, I started enjoying the ritual or the idea that it’s not a chore to take care of your skin…it’s a privilege. It doesn’t have to be 20 minutes. It can be seven minutes.”

3

She Does Pilates

One of Brooke’s go-to workouts is Pilates. She shared her favorite type of class to take with Harper’s Bazaar. “I attended a Pilates class called Nofar—I love Pilates. I’m at the phase in my life where instead of trying to ‘win’ every time I take a class—and I’m only competing against myself, by the way—I find that lengthening and stretching is so much more beneficial to me than even the hardest of hard parts about it. I love anything Pilates and abs, because it’s the thing I notice a difference with.”

She’s Kind To Herself

When it comes to wellness, Brooke believes in being kind to herself. “We spend so much time pointing out all the things that we don’t like about ourselves that we completely overlook the things that are extraordinarily different and unique, and what you actually like about yourself,” she tells Harper’s Bazaar. “And to me, self-care has got to start with that—it doesn’t come in a jar. It comes from being your own real best friend, because no one else is going to do it for you.”

5

She Uses A Body Scrub

Brooke shared one of her favorite body scrubs with Harper’s Bazaar. “What I really love is True Botanicals’ Pure Radiance Sugar Exfoliating Body Scrub. It’s not abrasive, but it definitely helps get rid of dead skin. It also leaves my skin feeling super moisturized without being oily, and I don’t slip in the shower or tub. Sometimes I put it on actually before using water—I just don’t rub too hard. But it dissolves quickly and smells so good.”
