She’s Motivated

Gabrielle talked about her wellness routine in an interview with Women’s Health. In it, she shared her motivations for being healthy. “I want to be a vital and energetic part of my family for a long time, not to be big mama in a rocking chair in the TV room, or huffing and puffing just going up stairs. I work out not because I get off on it, but because I want to live!”

She Changes Up Her Skincare Routine

Gabrielle shared the secrets behind her ageless skin with ELLE Magazine. She says that she changes up the products she uses, depending on what her skin needs. “A lot of things work for a little while, and then they stop, and then you’re like everybody else trying to figure out what’s going to work next. So right now I still use my Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit facial scrub and cleanser, Mario Badescu toner, and then that oil, and a sunblock. That’s pretty much daily. But I’m still experimenting with things.”

She Uses A Facial Oil

One product Gabrielle uses on her skin is a face oil. “I was lucky enough to work with Julie Hewett, who’s a makeup artist who also has her own skin-care line,” she explained to ELLE Magazine. “And she gave me her face oil Julie’s Camellia Oil, $24 for 1 oz.. I thought, This just feels redundant, why would I put oil on top of oil? It’s really transformed my skin. I started using it this summer when we were filming Sleepless Nights in Atlanta, and I swear by it. I’ve told everybody about it. I’m not a paid spokesperson, but this oil is a godsend.”

She Loves Pilates

One exercise that Gabrielle likes to do to keep herself in shape is Pilates. “The great thing about Pilates is that I can take out my annoyance from waking up early on the machines instead of human beings,” she says in her Women’s Health interview. “It’s for the greater good. My body responds to it, and I’m also more clear.”

She Doesn’t Overwork Herself

Gabrielle is a very busy woman, but she’s not too busy. She tells Women’s Health that one of her biggest wellness secrets is getting enough sleep, and to do so, she doesn’t overschedule herself. “We run ourselves ragged saying yes to every freaking thing, whether it’s to our family, spouses, or careers. I sleep eight hours a day and don’t let myself stress out. A lot of people call it selfish, but I don’t have any wrinkles.”
