Jennifer Hudson in Bikini Had the “Best Time” in St. Kitts

Jennifer Hudson is heating up St. Kitts in her bikini. In a new social media post, the singer shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit while vacationing in the islands. “St. Kitts, you have my heart!! 💜 We had the best time with yal at @stkittsmusicfestival – I loved dancing with everyone who came out ! This island is something else and I can’t thank you enough for welcoming me to the Caribbean with such open arms,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does the star approach health and wellness? Here are her diet and fitness habits.
She Lost Weight with WW
Jennifer dropped from a size 16 to a size 6 and lost a whopping 80 pounds in 2010 with the help of Weight Watchers. “I don’t really have time to do much [working out], so I really just watch what I eat,” the singer/actress told Good Housekeeping. “I’m very careful and cautious of what I’m eating, so I just try to pace those meals throughout the day. I’m very conscious of what I put in my body.”
Portion Control
Hudson practices portion control. “I throw the pancakes across the room! I don’t let the food intimidate me,” she told Yahoo Style. “If it’s too much, I just get rid of it … And I make sure I know what it is. It’s all about portions for the most part. I don’t work out a lot, but I do like to be active.”
She Doesn’t Diet
Hudson doesn’t like to use the word diet. “I had to break my diet mentality. I used to deprive myself, thinking that was healthy. I didn’t eat pasta, fried food, red meat. I hadn’t had pizza in 10 years,” she told Self in 2011. “If you’re on a strict diet that says you shouldn’t have any carbs or this or that, your body won’t function the way it should. I know now that I can eat anything I want and still lose or maintain my weight. It’s about portions and balance.”
Here Is What She Eats in a Day
What does she eat in a day? She told Self that for lunch she eats a turkey sandwich, grilled chicken salad, or shrimp and broccoli stir-fry. Snacks might be celery sticks, some light microwavable popcorn, one square of chocolate, an apple, a spoonful of peanut butter, Greek yogurt, granola, low-fat tortilla chips with a little light ranch dressing, or a chai tea latte. For dinner, she enjoys sushi, shrimp stir-fry, turkey and sautéed collard greens, or tacos.
She Walks
When she does exercise, her approach is relaxed. “I have the highest dressing room,” she told ESPN when she was in Broadway’s The Color Purple. “I have to walk up three flights of stairs about 10 times throughout the whole show every day, so that’s my exercise.”
