Jana Kramer in Bikini Is “Soaking Up All the Lake Time”

Here are her top diet and fitness habits

Jana Kramer is enjoying the holiday weekend in her bikini. The singer and actress celebrates Independence Day at the lake in a new social media post. “Soaking up all the lake time,” she captioned the Instagram Stories image, lounging on a paddleboard with her daughter. How does the star take care of her body? Here are her go-to diet and fitness habits.

1

Running

In an interview with Celebwell, Jana, the brand spokesperson for Unisom’s drug-free Simple Slumbers Midnight Raspberry Gummies, revealed that running is amazing for exercise and sleep. “If I don’t work out or go for a run that day, it will impact how I sleep,” she said. “After the kids are at school is when I will work out or go for a run.” She generally hits the pavement 4-5 times a week.  According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

2

Healthy Diet

She also prioritizes a healthy diet. “Your body needs good fuel and energy to get you to the end of the day and if I don’t prioritize that, I definitely feel it at night,” she says. She is all about gut health. “I have been hyper-focused on gut health recently,” she tells us, “so I’ve been cutting back on cheese which has been very hard.”

3

Strength Training

She also lifts weights. “I like to do a few days of strength training,” she says. How often should you lift weights? Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, per the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans

4

Self-Care

Self-care is key, says Jana. “I love a good bath, reading, or journaling,” she says. Baths are actually scientifically proved to help you sleep better and can also be helpful for minimizing anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

5

Hydration

Jana also hydrates.”I drink about a gallon of water a day,” she says. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine men should drink about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day and women about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids.

6

Prioritize Sleep

Jana also prioritizes sleep. “For me it’s to put the kiddo’s down, finish up any work and then a nice cup of tea. If my mind is racing and it’s a busy time, I take my Unisom Simple Slumbers to help me fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer in order to wake up feeling refreshed!” she reveals.
