Kelly Bensimon in Bikini Has “Zero Regrets”

Kelly Bensimon is steaming up social media in her bikini. In a new post, the former Real Housewives star flaunts her fabulous 57-year-old body in a barely-there bathing suit, defying her age. “Bikini, sun, and zero regrets. ☀️ Just soaking up the season, one golden hour at a time,” she captioned the Instagram photo. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care and manage to look half her age? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
She Doesn’t Stress About Weight
In her book, I Can Make You Hot!: The Supermodel Diet, Kelly explains her no-stress approach to weight. She reveals she gained and lost 50 pounds twice. “When I got pregnant with each daughter, I gained 50 pounds. Most people in my position would really watch their diet and eat crazy foods and exercise like a maniac. For me, having children and being able to bear children was such an incredible luxury. I wanted to be a vessel for them and not exercise and diet while pregnant,” she explained to The Washingtonian. “As a result, I gained 50 pounds. Believe me, it wasn’t easy [losing weight] and having an ex-husband photographing models all the time. But for me, wanting to take care of myself is a really big part of who I am. I like to say I lost the weight gracefully,” she said.
Biking
Kelly is a fan of group fitness classes, specifically cycling. She told Page Six that SoulCycle is one of her favorite workouts. According to the Cleveland Clinic, biking is a low-impact aerobic exercise that builds muscle, improves strength and flexibility, and improves balance. It can also boost mental health and help with other health conditions, including arthritis.
She Does Yoga
Kelly is a yogi. She told Page Six that she hits Y7 yoga classes. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”
She Does Squats and Lunges
Kelly told The Washingtonian that two moves are responsible for her superior stems. “My favorite leg exercises are squats and lunges. They just really tone up the inner and outer thighs and lift the buttocks, as well. When your butt muscles are toned, your legs look leaner,” she explained.
She Doesn’t Skip Meals or Fast
Two things you won’t find Kelly doing? “One is skipping meals and the other is fasting,” she told the Washingtonian. “Both of those do the same thing—every time you skip a meal or fast, you’re jarring your metabolism, which causes you to gain weight.”
