Lindsay Brewer is one of the most successful new female racers out there. She began competing in the Indy NXT division last year. This year, she and Jem Hepworth finished 3rd and 6th in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. Lindsay recently posted a set of photos of herself posing with a convertible in Laguna Beach on Instagram. In them, she wore a black bikini top and denim shorts. Lindsay captioned the post, “Convertible drives to the beach anyone?🌊 more from me on my @passes! click the link in bio🤍” Here are 5 of Lindsay Brewer’s diet and fitness secrets.

1

She Works Her Core

Lindsay shared some of her workout secrets in an interview with Muscle & Fitness. She says that she makes sure to do a lot of core workouts, as they help with racing. “I do a lot of core stabilization to help withstand the G-forces in the car as well. So, I do a lot of Russian twists, because you have to hold your core constantly in a race.”

She Works Her Legs

Lindsay also does a lot of leg workouts to help with racing. “It’s also important to focus on your legs because the brake pressure, when you put on those brakes, is so high that you need really strong legs,” she explained to Muscle & Fitness. Lindsay is seen doing squats with a barbell in this Instagram video.

Another type of exercise that Lindsay does to help with racing is cardio. Specifically, she uses a lot of gym machines. “I do a lot of different cardio machines because most cardio machines are leg based like the stair climber,” she says in her Muscle & Fitness interview. “So, it’s really important to do arm-based cardio as well, like the arm bike.”

Lindsay shared some of her diet secrets in an interview with Well & Good. She says that she makes sure to get enough protein each day, especially first thing in the morning. “Breakfast is typically two scrambled eggs and some avocado toast. Protein is really important for me, and I like to prioritize it throughout the day. I don’t drink coffee, but I do love a Starbucks venti green tea.”

She Eats Carbs Before Races

When Lindsay has a race, she likes to carbo-load earlier that day, as if she were a runner about to do a marathon. “On a race weekend, I eat more carbs because I need that energy,” Lindsay explains to Well & Good. “As long as it has good protein and carbs—I love pasta and burgers—I’ll eat it because I need the sustenance.”
