I’m not doing it as much, once, twice a week max, and to be honest I’m just really good with my diet at the moment. It’s all about balance.”
She’s Eating More Calories
Another change Maura made to her life is increasing her calorie intake. She tells The DailyMail that her loved ones helped her realize she needed to do this. “I eased off the exercise and upped my calories and stuff. It’s good to have people around you that are not afraid to say these things to you. It’s so important. I’m feeling so much better.”
She Does A Variety Of Workouts
Maura does a lot of things to keep herself in shape. She talked about this on Instagram, via The Sun. “For me, workouts vary depending on how I’m feeling that day,” Maura wrote. “I mix between weight training, yoga & pilates. Its definitely about balance and consistency & remember it’s not a race, don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s.”
She Does Pilates
One thing Maura does to keep herself in shape is practice Pilates. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself using a reformer. Maura captioned the post, “Pilates era.” The Cleveland Clinic states that Pilates has a lot of health benefits. “Some of the principles that guide the Pilates method include concentration on each movement, use of the abdomen and low back muscles, flowing, precise movement patterns and controlled breathing. Depending on the exercise, Pilates routines can be performed on specially designed apparatuses, including a bed-like structure called a reformer, or more simply on a mat or blanket.”
She Bikes
Maura spends a lot of time at the beach. Sometimes, she will go on a bike ride by the water. Maura shared this photo on Instagram of herself biking in the Maldives. She captioned it, “Exploring the island.” Biking is a great way to stay in shape. The Cleveland Clinic says, “Cycling is often recommended as a low-impact and engaging workout for people of all ages. It’s an aerobic exercise and helps strengthen your heart, blood vessels and lungs.”
