Exercise

Disha is committed to fitness and regularly works out. “I work out everyday and my routine usually involves cardio in the mornings, like dancing, kick boxing or gymnastics, and weight training in the evenings,” she told Vogue India.

Hydration

Disha also prioritizes hydration, telling Vogue that her water bottle “is the most important part of any workout.” According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

Strength Training Over Cardio

According to Disha, there is a big misconception that women should only do “cardio, not weight training,” she told Vogue, adding that most women “all work out and do heavy weights; I come across so many girls in the gym training really hard. At the end of the day, it isn’t about the gender, but about working on your body and becoming your fittest self.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and build lean muscle mass, and increase calorie burn. Healthy Diet

Disha fuels her body with a “protein-carbs” diet. “I have fallen into this bad habit where I don’t eat anything in the mornings before working out, because I feel very full while exercising if I do. But, it is definitely advisable to cram in a small meal before a work out, consisting of some protein, like eggs. After exercising, it is good to add protein again, either through chicken, eggs or paneer,” she told Vogue,

Cheat Meals

Disha indulges in the occasional cheat meal. “I absolutely love them; in fact, I wait for cheat days the whole week. Depending on the diet I am following and my shoot schedule, I sit down once a week and eat everything I can fit into my stomach,” she dished to Vogue.
