NASCAR driver, Danica Patrick, has been all over the place this summer. Her most recent stop: Taormina, Italy, known for the incredible beaches. Danica just shared a new carousel post from the trip on Instagram. In some of the photos, she posed on the beach in a black bikini. Danica captioned the post, “Bello e delizioso Sicily…. Taormina must be on everyone’s list!” Here are 5 of Danica Patrick’s secrets to getting a bikini body.

1

She Loves Yoga

Danica loves to do yoga to keep herself in shape, and talked about this with ESPN. “Yoga is not a replacement for other workouts; it’s more added on top of anything else I do. It’s been great. And with social media, you get a view of how incredibly good some people are, how good you can get, and how far you can really take it. So being the competitive person that I am, I also have those goals now.”

She Loves CrossFit

Danica also likes doing CrossFit to keep herself in shape. She talked about this in her ESPN interview. “I do CrossFit, for the most part. Very different from yoga! From a workout perspective as well as a sweat and strength perspective, it is a different discipline and has a different purpose than yoga.”

She’s Consistent With Fitness

Danica is consistent with her fitness regime. One way she does this is by having a home gym. “Since I started doing yoga, though, I’ve been pretty consistent, week to week,” Danica said. “I even built a ‘wo-man cave’ — as I call it — back in North Carolina, where I do my yoga. It’s not heated, but it’s pretty warm in there. I have my sewing machine in there, too. It’s where I do my arts and crafts.”

She Does Running Intervals

Danica does like to run, but she doesn’t believe in doing it for a long time. Instead, she does intervals.”I do not do 30 minutes to an hour of cardio,” she said to Sports Illustrated. “I don’t ever run for any longer than five or 10 minutes just to run. The only kind of running I do now is interval running. Sometimes it’s 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off of sprinting and walking. Maybe it’s a minute of running with 30 seconds of sprinting and then 30 seconds off.”

She Uses The GHD Machine

Danica tells Sports Illustrated that she likes to use the Glute-Ham Developer machine. “I’m pretty strong on the GHD machine. It’s something that murders people. You will be destroyed after doing them, like you’ll get the painful delayed onset muscle soreness two days after, and then you won’t be able to sit up in bed. But it’s good.”
