Denise Bidot In Bikini Is “Relaxing” For Sports Illustrated Swim

Denise Bidot is one of the most successful plus-size models right now. This year, her career was ratcheted up a notch when she was named one of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 2025 Rookies. The magazine has featured Denise in their issues and on their social media. For National Relaxation Day, they included a bikini shot of her in an Instagram post. In the photo, Denise wore a multicolored striped bikini as the ocean waves crashed on her. Here are 5 of Denise Bidot’s secrets when it comes to confidence, diet, and skincare.
She Eats A Lot Of Raw Food
When it comes to her diet, Denise tells The Cut that she loves eating raw food. “I started having someone come and do meal prep for me, and she’s doing all raw,” she explains. “Everything is the best-quality food. My mom came over recently, ate it, and she said, ‘Wow, I feel better.’ When you feel good, your mental health is good. And when you feel good from the inside, everyone sees you radiate. Wellness, mental health, physical health, everything is one big circle. Until you find that balance with all of them, you don’t get to your best self. But it is a journey. It’s not easy.”
She’s Comfortable With Herself
Denise is all about being comfortable with herself and in her body. “My body feels comfortable at this size. This is where I always end up, no matter how much I try to diet. I’m a size 14. My butt is there, my curves are there, and there is my waist. This is my body; I love it, and I wouldn’t change a bit of it.”
She Wants To Inspire Her Daughter
Denise has a daughter, and she wants to set a good example for her. The model tells People that she doesn’t want her daughter to feel like she has to conform to beauty standards. “Nowhere have I felt so much awesome responsibility than when teaching my daughter that there is no wrong way to be herself — to be a young woman, whatever her size,” she says. “I know how early these ideas are instilled in each new generation, and it’s my job to be that voice; to tell her that she is beautiful and that she can achieve whatever she sets her mind to.”
She Doesn’t Diet
Denise doesn’t believe in dieting to lose weight, but eating healthy to feel good. “My mother yo-yo-dieted a lot and was a single parent,” she says to The Cut. “We were that fast-food generation. I have a daughter, and I realize that what you take into your body affects your day-to-day activities. Eat right to feel good. Let’s eat cleaner. Let’s feel better about ourselves.”
She Has A Simple Skincare Routine
Since she’s a model, Denise has to take care of her skin. The best way for her to do so is by keeping her routine simple. “I would go to the store, and I would buy all these things,” she said to PureWow. “I felt like the more that I added to my skin, the more magic it had on me. But then I was trying to balance all of these different things, and so I’ve learned that at my age, keeping it simple is really essential.”
